AN ORDINANCE authorizing the reproduction of any
records by photostating, photographing, or microphotographing, and
providing for the disposal, destruction, or archival storage of
such reproduced records.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METRO-
POLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Director of Finance with the approval
of the Executive Director is hereby authorized to cause any or all
records kept by an officer, department, commission, board, or
bureau of the District to be photostated, photographed, micro-
photographed, or reproduced on film. Such film or reproducing
material shall be of durable material and the device used to
reproduce such records on such film or material shall be such as
to accurately reproduce and perpetuate the original records in all
details.
Section Two. All ordinances, resolutions, regulations,
rules, orders, and proceedings of the Board of Trustees shall be
public records and shall be kept in bound form and available for
public examination. Reproductions thereof shall be made as
authorized in Section One of this ordinance, and such repro-
ductions shall be stored as archives in such vault or other safe
place as the Secretary-Treasurer shall designate.
Section Three. Except as directed in Section Two
hereof, and whenever such photostatic copies, photographs,
microphotographs, or reproductions on films shall have been placed
in conveniently accessible files and provisions made for
preserving, examining, and using same, the Director of Finance may
certify those facts to the Executive Director, who shall have the
power to authorize the disposal, archival storage, or destruction
of such records or papers.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 20, 1961.
