AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with A. H. Haeseler
Building and Contracting Company, a corporation, for work at 1901
Sulphur Avenue comprising the razing and removal of a building,
the remodeling of another, and the erection of a shop and office
building, all for the maintenance duties of the District, with an
emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to A. H. Haeseler Building and Contracting
Company, a corporation, as the lowest responsible bidder for work
at 1901 Sulphur Avenue, comprising the razing and removal of a
building, the remodeling of another, and the erection of a shop
and office building, all for the maintenance duties of the
District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 28th day of
November, 1961 and formally executed on the 4th day of December,
1961 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and the
Assistant Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District in the
following form:

is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. The need of maintenance facilities, for
use in place of those which the District must vacate and for
protection of the public health, constitutes an emergency within
the meaning of the Plan and this ordinance, accordingly, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 7, 1961.
