HomeMy Public PortalAbout00692AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1135 O R D I N A N C E NO. 692 AN ORDINANCE, establishing a subdistrict in St. Louis County, Missouri, to be known as Subdistrict No. 172 (Manhattan Heights) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Pursuant to a petition of residents of the District, there is hereby established a subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District within which sewer or drainage facilities may be constructed, reconstructed, or improved at the expense of the subdistrict. Such subdistrict shall be known as Subdistrict No. 172 (Manhattan Heights) shall be as follows: (SEE NEXT PAGE) 2 Ord. No. 692 MANHATTAN HEIGHTS Beginning at a point, said point being the northwest corner of lot 16 in Block 1 of Manhattan Heights Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 19 on Page 41 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along the north line of said lot 16 to the northeast corner thereof thence southeastwardly in a straight line across Windemere Avenue to the southwest corner of lot 1 in Block 8 of said Manhattan Heights; thence eastwardly along the south line of lots 1 thru 18 in said Block 8 to the east line of said lot 18 and along the eastern prolongation thereof to the centerline of Tallie Drive; thence northwardly along said centerline to its intersection with the centerline of Manhattan Street; thence eastwardly along said centerline to its intersection with the centerline of Marcia Lane; thence southwardly along said centerline to its intersection with the eastern prolongation of the south line of lot 21 in Block 11 of said Manhattan Heights; thence westwardly along said prolongation and along the south line of said lots 21 thru 1 in Block 11 and along the western prolongation of the south line of said lot 1 to the centerline of Tallie Drive; thence southwardly along the centerline of Tallie Drive to its intersection with the eastern prolongation of the south line of lot 18 in Block 5 of said Manhattan Heights; thence westwardly along said prolongation and along the south line of said lots 18 thru 12 in Block 5 to the 3 southwest corner of said lot 12, also being the northeast corner of lot 26 in said Block 5; thence southwardly along the east line of said lot 26 in Block 5 to the southeast corner thereof; thence southwestwardly in a straight line across Lillian Avenue to the northeast corner of lot 22 in Block 14 of said Manhattan Heights; thence southwardly along the east line of said lot 22 in Block 14 to the southeast corner thereof; thence westwardly along the south line of said lots 22 thru 9 in Block 14 to the southwest corner thereof; thence northwardly along the west line of said lot 9 in Block 14 to the northwest corner thereof; thence northwestwardly in a straight line across Lillian Avenue to the southwest corner of lot 11 in Block 4 of said Manhattan Heights; thence northwardly along the west line of said lots 11 thru 20 in Block 4 of said subdivision to the northwest corner of said lot 20; thence northwardly in a straight line across Grant Place to the southwest corner of lot 11 in Block 3 of said Manhattan Heights; thence northwardly along the west line of lots 11 thru 20 in Block 3 of said subdivision to the northwest corner of said lot 20; thence in a straight line across Amherst Drive to the southwest corner of lot 11 in Block 2 of said Manhattan Heights; thence northwardly along the west line of lots 11 thru 20 in Block 2 of said subdivision to the northwest corner of said lot 20; thence northwardly in a straight line across Devonshire Avenue to the southwest corner of lot 11 in Block 1 of said Manhattan Heights; thence northwardly along the west line of lots 11 thru 16 in Block 4 1 to the point of beginning. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 25, 1962.
