HomeMy Public PortalAbout00722 O R D I N A N C E NO. 722 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metro- politan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage facilities of the District. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the owners of the land in said area who own all of the land therein; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is totally in a watershed within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at a point on the south line of Section 15, T45N, R5E, said point being the point of intersection of a line parallel to and 684.42 feet west of the centerline of Ballas Road 60 feet wide, said line also being the present western boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence north 89 degrees, 24 minutes west along the south line of Section 15, T45N, R5E, a distance of 428.72 feet to a point; thence north 0 degrees, 52 minutes east a distance of 542.45 feet to a point; thence north 89 degrees, 24 minutes west a distance of 667.00 feet to a point; thence north 0 degrees, 51 minutes east a distance of 1,050.22 feet to a point; thence south 89 degrees, 24.5 minutes east a distance of 1,096.05 feet to a point of intersection with a line parallel to and 684.42 feet from the centerline of Ballas Road, said line being the present boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence south 0 degrees, 52 minutes west along said boundary line of said Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the owners of the land in said area who own all of the land area of the area to be served. Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to include the above-described area. Section Four. Certified copies of this ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 19, 1962.
