HomeMy Public PortalAbout00783 O R D I N A N C E NO. 783 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metro- politan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage facilities of the District. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the owners of the land in said area who own all of the land therein; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: A tract of land in Blocks 19 and 24 of the Carondelet Commons South of the River Des Peres and in Township 44 North, Range 6 East, St. Louis County, Missouri, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning in the southeastern line of said Block 19 at its intersection with a line parallel with and 200 feet south- westwardly from, measured at right angles to the southwestern line of Lindbergh Boulevard, 100 feet wide, thence along said parallel line N 53o 28-1/2' W., 1,438.10 feet to its intersection with the 2 northwestern line of said Block 19; thence S. 36o 23' W., 980.54 feet along the northwestern line of said Block 19 (which is also the southeastern line of a lane, 20.46 feet wide, laid out in said Carondelet Commons South of the River des Peres and known as Union Road) to the most western corner of said Block 19; thence S. 54o 10-3/4' E., 1,435.63 feet along the southwestern line of said Block 19 to its most southern corner; thence N. 36o 32' E., 416.44 feet along the southeastern line of said Block 19 to a point distant 39.34 feet southwestwardly from its intersection with the northeastern line of Lot 1 of the Subdivision of Block 24 of the Carondelet Commons South of the River des Peres, plat of which subdivision is recorded in Plat Book 6, page 40 of the St. Louis City (former County) Recorder's Office; thence S. 41o 25-1/4' E., 597.98 feet to a point in the northwestern line of Lemay Ferry Road, 80 feet wide, distant 170 feet southwestwardly from its intersection with the northeastern line of said Lot 1, measured along said road line; thence northeastwardly along said road line 365.16 feet along a curve to the left having a radius of 3,541.10 feet to a point of tangency (the chord subtended by said curve bearing N. 45o 22-1/2' E., 364.82 feet) and continuing along said road line N. 42o 26' E., 9.40 feet to a point distant 200 feet southwestwardly from its intersection with the northeastern line of Lot 2 of the Subdivision of Block 24 of the Carondelet Commons South of the River des Peres; thence N. 53o 46-1/4' W., 641.87 feet and parallel with the northeastern line of said Lot 2 to a 3 point in the southeastern line of said Block 19; thence N. 36o 32' E., 304.81 feet along the southeastern line of said Block 19 to the beginning. Section Two. That the Board finds that the petition praying for annexation was signed by the owners of the land in said area who own all of the land area of the area to be served. Section Three. That the corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to include the above-described area. Section Four. That Certified copies of this ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 25, 1962.
