HomeMy Public PortalAbout00784 AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 851 AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1030 AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NOL 1050 O R D I N A N C E NO. 784 AN ORDINANCE, repealing Ordinance No. 320 adopted September 28, 1959, Resolution No. 495, adopted February 19, 1962 and Resolution No. 499 adopted March 19, 1962, and enacting an ordinance establishing a subdistrict in St. Louis County, Missouri, to be known as Subdistrict No. 86 (Scottdale) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. WHEREAS, by adoption of Ordinance No. 320 a subdistrict to be known as Subdistrict No. 86 (Scottdale) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District was established for the purpose of con- structing sanitary sewers, and by Resolution No. 495 such im- provement was declared to be necessary, and by Resolution No. 499 the construction of such sewers was declared to be in the public interest, and WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees, having been informed thereon, finds that a revision of the boundaries of such sewer improvement area is advisable and desires that a public hearing be held before such subdistrict is revised, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Hereby repealed are Ordinance No. 320 adopted September 28, 1959, whereby Subdistrict No. 86 (Scottdale) was established, and Resolution No. 495 adopted February 19, 1962, 2 declaring the necessity of an improvement in said Subdistrict, and Resolution No. 499 adopted March 19, 1962, whereby the construction of sewers to serve the area of such Subdistrict was declared to be in the public interest. Section Two. Pursuant to a petition of residents of the District, there is hereby established a subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District within which sewer or drainage facilities may be constructed, reconstructed, or improved at the expense of the Subdistrict. Such subdistrict shall be known as Subdistrict No. 86 (Scottdale). Section Three. The boundaries of Subdistrict No. 86 (Scottdale) shall be as follows. (SEE NEXT PAGE) 3 Ord. No. 784 SCOTTDALE Beginning at a point, said point being the southwest corner of Lot 9 of Block 8 of Ben-Avis Park Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 3 on Page 34 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northwardly along the west line of Lots 9 through 11 of said Block 8 to the northwest corner of said Lot 11; thence eastwardly along the north line of said Lot 11 to its northeast corner; thence northeastwardly in a straight line to the intersection of the centerlines of Huiskamp Avenue, sixty feet (60') wide, and High Ridge Avenue, fifty feet (50') wide; thence eastwardly along the centerline of High Ridge Avenue to its intersection with the southern prolongation of the west line of Lot 8 of J. M. Hord Acres subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 14, Page 58 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northwardly along said prolongation and along the west line of said Lot 8 to the northwest corner of said Lot 8; thence eastwardly along the north line of said "J. M. Hord Acres" to the northeast corner of Lot 14 of said "J. M. Hord Acres" to the northeast corner of Lot 14 of said "J. M. Hord Acres"; thence southwardly along the east line of said Lot 14 and continuing across High Ridge Avenue and along the east line of Lot 17 of said subdivision to the southeast corner of said Lot 17; thence westwardly along the south line of said Lot 17 to its intersection with the southwest line of property now or formerly of Edmund M. and Anne Schmidt as recorded in Deed Book 3677, Page 4 257 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southeastwardly along said southwest line of said Schmidt property to the southernmost corner of said Schmidt property; thence southwardly in a straight line to the northernmost corner of Lot 1 of Block 1 of Blewette Park subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 18, Page 38 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southeastwardly along the southwest line of Mary Avenue, sixty feet (60') wide to the easternmost corner of Lot 5; thence northwestwardly along the southwest line of said Lot 5 to the northernmost corner of Lot 65 of said Block 1; thence southwestwardly along the northwest line of said Lot 65 to the westernmost corner of said Lot 65; thence southeastwardly along the northeast line of Blewett Avenue to its intersection with the eastward projection of the north line of Lot 19 of Block 2 of said Blewett Park subdivision; thence westwardly along said projection and along said line to the northwest corner of said Lot 19; thence southwardly along the west line of said ''Blewett Park'' to the north line of Hord Avenue, sixty feet (60') wide; thence westwardly along the north line of Hord Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of Orchard Avenue, thirty feet (30') wide; thence northwardly along said centerline of Orchard Avenue to its intersection with the eastward projection of the north line of Lot 51 of Jennings Oak Park subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 24, Page 16 of the St. Louis County Records; thence westwardly along said projection and along the north line of Lots 51 through 70 of said ''Jennings Oak Park'' and said line 5 projected westwardly to its intersection with the southeast line of North Woodland Second subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 8, Page 53 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southwestwardly along said line to the southwest corner of Lot 1 of North Woodland Second subdivision; thence southwestwardly in a straight line to the southeast corner of Lot 1 of Janes Subdivision of Lot 1 of Hord's Subdivision, a subdivision according to plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 15, Page 95, St. Louis County Recorder's office; thence southwestwardly along the southeast line of said Lot 1 to its southwest corner; thence northwardly along the west line of said last mentioned subdivision to its northwest corner in the south line of Lot 2 of Hord's Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page 78 of the St. Louis County Records; thence westwardly, along said line to the southwest corner of said Lot 2; thence northwardly along the west line of Lots 2, 5 and 6 of said subdivision to the northwest corner of said Lot 6; thence northeastwardly in a straight line to the southwest corner of Lot 15 of North Woodland subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 8, on Page 38 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northwardly along the west line of Lots 15, 14, 13 and 12 of "North Woodland" to its intersection with a line midway between the north and south lines of Lot 4 of said North Woodland Subdivision; thence westwardly along said midway line and said line projected to its intersection with the centerline of aforementioned Huiskamp Avenue; thence northwardly along said centerline to its 6 intersection with the eastward projection of the south line of Lots 7 through 5 of Block 4 of aforementioned Ben-Avis Park subdivision; thence westwardly along said projection and along said lot lines to the southwest corner of said Lot 7; thence northwardly along the west line of said Lot 7 and continuing across Solway Avenue, (formerly Summit Avenue) fifty feet (50') wide and along the west line of Lot 2 of Block 7 of "Ben-Avis Park" to the northwest corner of Lot 2 of said Block 7; thence eastwardly along the north line of said Lot 2 to the north and south centerline of Lot 7 in said Block 7; thence northwardly along said centerline to the south line of Glade Avenue, fifty feet (50') wide; thence northeastwardly in a straight line to the southwest corner of Lot 7 in Block 8 of "Ben-Avis Park"; thence northwardly along the west line of said Lot 7 in Block 8 to the northwest corner of said Lot 7 in the south line of Lot 9 in said Block 8; thence westwardly along the south line of Lot 9 to the point of beginning. Section Four. An emergency exists within the meaning of the Plan, by reason of the failure of septic tanks within such subdistrict and, accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. 7 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 20, 1962.
