HomeMy Public PortalAbout00801 O R D I N A N C E NO. 801 AN ORDINANCE, repealing Resolution No. 37, adopted November 14, 1955 and Resolution No. 116, adopted March 18, 1957 and enacting an ordinance establishing a new subdistrict in St. Louis County, Missouri, to be known as Subdistrict No. 6 (Drayton and Pearl) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. WHEREAS, by adoption of Resolution No. 37 a subdistrict to be known as Special Benefit Subdistrict No. 6 (Washington Park) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District was established for the purpose of constructing sanitary sewers, and by Resolution No. 116 the construction of such sewers was declared to be in the public interest, and WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees, having been informed thereon, finds that a revision of the boundaries of such sewer improvement area is advisable and desires that a public hearing be held before such subdistrict is reestablished. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Hereby repealed are Resolution No. 37, adopted November 14, 1955, whereby Special Benefit Subdistrict No. 6 (Washington Park) was established, and Resolution No. 116, adopted.March 18, 1957, whereby the construction of sewers to serve the area of such Subdistrict was declared to be in the public interest. Section Two. Pursuant to a petition of residents of the District, there is hereby established a subdistrict of The 2 Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District within which sewer or drainage facilities may be constructed, reconstructed, or improved at the expense of the subdistrict. Such subdistrict shall be known as Subdistrict No. 6 (Drayton and Pearl). Section Three. The boundaries of Subdistrict No. 6 (Drayton and Pearl) shall be as follows: (SEE NEXT PAGE) 3 DRAYTON & PEARL Beginning at a point, said point being the southeast corner of Lot 5 in Block 15 of Washington Park Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 4, Page 71 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northwardly along the east line of Lots 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 in said Block 15 to the northeast corner of said Lot 1; thence northwardly along a straight line across Pearl Avenue to the southwest corner of Lot 23 in Block 14 of said Washington Park; thence northwardly along the west line of Lots 23 thru 34 in said Block 14 to the northeast corner of Lot 11 in said Block 14; thence westwardly along the north line of said Lot 11 and continuing along the western prolongation of said north lien to the centerline of Drayton Avenue (formerly Avenue "D"); thence southwardly along said centerline to its intersection with the eastern prolongation of the north line of Lot 29 in Block 11 of said Washington Park; thence westwardly along said prolongation and along the north line of said Lot 29 to the northwest corner thereof; thence southwardly along the east line of Lots 16 thru 22 in said Block 11 to the southeast corner of said Lot 22; thence southwardly along a straight line across said Pearl Avenue to the northeast corner of Lot 1 in Block 10 of said Washington Park; thence southwardly along the east line of Lots 1 thru 3 in said Block 10 to the northeast corner of Lot 4 in said Block 10; thence westwardly along the north line of said Lot 4 to the northwest corner thereof; thence southwardly along the west line of Lots 4 thru y 4 in said Block 10 to the southwest corner of said Lot 7; thence eastwardly along the south line of Lots 7 and 36 in said Block 10 and continuing along the eastern prolongation of said south line to the centerline of said Drayton Avenue; thence northwardly along said centerline to its intersection with the western prolongation of the south line of Lot 5 in Block 15 of said Washington Park; thence eastwardly along said prolongation and along the south line of said Lot 5 to the point of beginning. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 30, 1962.
