HomeMy Public PortalAbout00856 O R D I N A N C E NO. 856 AN ORDINANCE, amending Section Two of Ordinance No. 731, adopted April 23, 1962 and revising the boundaries of Subdistrict No. 197 (Rock Hill and General Grant) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Ordinance No. 731, adopted April 23, 1962, is hereby amended by eliminating from the boundaries of Subdistrict No. 197 (Rock Hill and General Grant), as set forth in Section Two thereof, the area described as follows: Beginning at a point on the south line of property now or formerly owned by Winifred Mosby as recorded in Deed Book 2466, page 148 and 4510 on page 80 of the St. Louis County Records, said point being 300 feet east of the southwest corner of said property; thence eastwardly along the south line of said Mosby property a distance of 50 feet to a point; thence northwardly along a line parallel with the west line of said Mosby property to the north line of said property; thence westwardly along the north line of said property a distance of 50 feet to a point; thence southwardly along a straight line to the point of beginning, for the reason that the Board of Trustees finds that said area is beyond the area capable of being efficiently served by the facilities proposed to be constructed in such Subdistrict. Section Two of said Ordinance No. 731, as amended, shall read as follows: 2 Section Two. The boundaries of Subdistrict No. 197 (Rock Hill and General Grant) shall be as follows: (SEE NEXT PAGE) 3 Ord. No. 856 ROCK HILL & GENERAL GRANT Beginning at a point, said point being the southwest corner of property now or formerly owned by Ralph and Rosemary Wirthlin, as recorded in Deed Book 3097 on Page 93 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along the south line of said Wirthlin property a distance of 300 feet to a point; thence northwardly along a line parallel with the west line of said Wirthlin property and continuing along the northern projection of said parallel line to the south line of property now or formerly owned by S. Schmidt, as recorded in Deed Book 2069 on Page 158 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along said south line to a point, said point being 180 feet west of the centerline of General Grant Lane; thence northwardly and parallel with the centerline of General Grant Lane to the north line of said Schmidt property; thence eastwardly along said north line to the southwest corner of property now or formerly owned by Joseph and Catherine Halek, as recorded in Deed Book 3505 on Page 225 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northwardly along the west line of said Halek property and its prolongation northwardly to the centerline of Rock Hill Road; thence westwardly along the centerline of Rock Hill Road to its intersection with the northern prolongation of the west line of said Schmidt property; thence southwardly along 4 said prolongation to its intersection with a line parallel with and 200 feet north of the north line of said Winifred Mosby property; thence westwardly along said parallel line to the west line of the property now or formerly owned by Milton V. Slemmens, as recorded in Deed Book 2887 on Page 601 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southwardly along said west line and along the southern prolongation of said west line to the point of beginning. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 8, 1962.
