O R D I N A N C E NO. 871
AN ORDINANCE, amending Ordinance No. 782 by striking from
Section Four thereof the provision for the delayed payment charge
and by adding a new provision in lieu of it.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN
ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. Ordinance No. 782 as adopted June 25, 1962 is
hereby amended by striking from Section Four thereof the words, "a
delayed payment charge in the amount of fifteen percent (15%) of
the bill rendered shall be imposed and collected", and by
substituting a new provision in lieu thereof reading as follows:
"a delayed payment charge shall be added to such bill and shall be
collected. Such added charge shall be computed on the amount of
the bill as rendered at the rate of one per cent (1%) a month or
fraction of a month from the date rendered to the date of
payment".
Section Two. Section Four of Ordinance No. 782 as hereby
amended shall read as follows: "Section Four. If the sewer service
charge and rates for the use and services of the sewage pumping,
treatment and disposal works are not paid within fifteen (IS) days
after the date of any bill rendered therefor, a delayed payment
charge shall be added to such bill and shall be collected. Such
added charge shall be computed on the amount of the bill as
rendered at the rate of one per cent (1%) a month or fraction of a
month from the date rendered to the date of payment".
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 27, 1962.
