HomeMy Public PortalAbout00905 O R D I N A N C E NO. 905 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage facilities of the District. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the owner of the land in said area who owns all of the land therein, and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT. Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: A tract of land in Section 34, Township 44 North, Range 6 East, St. Louis County, Missouri, and being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard and Union Road, which is a point on the original boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, thence southwestwardly along said centerline of Union Road to a point on the existing boundary, which point is the intersection of said centerline of Union Road and a portion of the 2 original boundary line of such District, which portion is 200 feet south of the south line of aforesaid Lindbergh Boulevard and parallel therewith; thence eastwardly along said portion of boundary parallel with Lindbergh Boulevard to its intersection with the southeast line of said Union Road; thence southwestwardly along the southeast line of Union Road, which is also part of the boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District as annexed by Ordinance No. 7839 a distance of approximately 200 feet to its intersection with the southeast prolongation of the southwest line of property now or formerly of Roscoe M. Crum and wife according to instrument recorded in Book 1588 page 1157 of St. Louis County Record; thence northwestwardly along said prolongation across Union Road and along said southwest line north 58 degrees 25 minutes west a distance of 230.43 feet from the northwest of said Union Road, measured along said southwest property line to the western corner of said Crum property; thence north 30 degrees 44- 1/3 minutes east along the northwest line of said Crum property a distance of approximately 450 feet to its intersection with the centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard, which point of intersection is on the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence southeastwardly along aforesaid centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard which is also part of the existing District boundary to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the Board finds that the petition praying for annexation was signed by the owner of the land in said 3 area who owns all of the land area of the area to be served. Section Three. That the corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to include the above-described area. Section Four. That certified copies of this ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. 4 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 7, 1963.
