AN ORDINANCE, accepting the proposal of General American Life
Insurance Company to underwrite the group insurance plan for
District officers and employees for the policy year ending
December 31, 1963, subject to annual renewal.
WHEREAS, at the direction of the Board of Trustees, the
Executive Director has submitted fourteen proposals to underwrite
the District's group insurance plan for officers and employees,
solicited by him as of November, 1962, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has considered the foregoing
and has determined that the best proposal on the basis of
projected experience and service is that of General American Life
Insurance Company, and that a choice on such basis is in the
public interest,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District hereby accepts the proposal of General
American Life Insurance Company to underwrite the group insurance
plan for the District's officers and employees for the policy year
ending December 31, 1963, subject to annual renewal.
Section Two. The Executive Director and the Personnel
Director are hereby authorized and directed to take all necessary
steps to place such group insurance into effect at the earliest
date.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 11, 1963.
