HomeMy Public PortalAbout00939 O R D I N A N C E NO. 939 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage facilities of the District. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area therein; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is in a watershed within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of Howdershell Road (60 feet wide) with the southeast prolongation of the east line of property now or formerly of Eugene Krahl and wife, which east line is parallel with and 319 feet east of the west line of said Krahl property, which is also the centerline of Teson Road (40 feet wide), and which point of intersection is also a point in the existing boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, as extended by Ordinance No. 696 of said District; thence northwestwardly along such southeast prolongation and along such east line of Krahl property, a distance of 560 feet more or less to the northern corner of such Krahl property, which is also a point of the District boundary as extended by said Ordinance No. 696; thence North 38 degrees 0 minutes East a distance of 236 feet more or less to the southwest line of Survey 147; thence southeastwardly along said southwest survey line to its intersection with the western corner of property now or formerly of Hazelwood School District as described in instrument recorded in Book 2875 page 389 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northeastwardly along the northwest line of such School property a distance of 193 feet more or less to its intersection with the northeast line of aforesaid Survey 147; thence northwestwardly along such northeast Survey line a distance of 520 feet more or less to its intersection with a line bearing South 37 degrees 45 minutes West from a point on the northeast line of property now or formerly of Otto C. Bueldt described in instrument recorded in Book 2845 page 552 of the St. Louis County Records, which point is 885.26 feet from the northwest line of Howdershell Road measured along such northeast line of Bueldt; thence along said line North 37 degrees 45 minutes East through aforesaid point on northeast line of Bueldt and across property now or formerly of Rosner, Brunton and Koenig to its intersection with the southwest line of Barwick Lane (50 feet wide); thence northwestwardly along said southwest line of Barwick Lane to its intersection with the southwestward prolongation of the northwest line of Lot 4 of Barwick Acres, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Mo., according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 47 page 20 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northeastwardly along such prolongation and such northwest lot line to the northernmost corner of said Lot 4, which is also a point on the northeast line of aforesaid Barwick Acres Subdivision; thence southeastwardly along said northeast line of Barwick Acres Subdivision, a portion of which line is the boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District as extended by Ordinance No. 327 of said District, to the westernmost corner of property now or formerly owned by Francis G. Freiberger and wife, as recorded in Deed Book 2646 on Page 384 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northeastwardly along the northwest line of said Freiberger property to the northernmost corner of said property; thence southeastwardly along the northeast line of said Freiberger property and along the southeastern prolongation of said northeast line to the centerline of Howdershell Road; thence southwestwardly along said centerline of Howdershell Road, said line also being a part of the existing boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the majority of the property owners of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area to be served. Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to include the above described area. Section Four. Certified copies of this ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 5, 1963.
