HomeMy Public PortalAbout01008 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1008 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage facilities of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the owners of the land in said area who own all of the land area therein; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is in a watershed within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: A tract of land in Survey 171 of St. Ferdinand Common Fields, described as follows: Beginning at a point in the center line of Shackleford Road at its intersection with the Northeast line of said Survey 171, which is a point on the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence North 53 degrees 01 minutes West along said Northeast line 949.67 feet to an old stone at the most Eastern corner of Lot 8 of Charbonier Acres, a Subdivision of St. Louis County, Mo., the plat of which is recorded in Plat Book 43 Page 36; thence South 39 degrees 40 minutes West along the Southeast line of said lot, 193.08 feet to an old iron pipe; thence South 53 degrees 01 minutes East, 890.54 feet to a point in the center line of Shackleford Road; thence North 56 degrees 27 minutes East along said center line, which centerline is also a part of the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, 204.56 feet to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the property owners of the land in said area who own all of the land area to be served. Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The Metro- politan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to include the above-described area. Section Four. Certified copies of this ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 7, 1963.
