HomeMy Public PortalAbout01009 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1009 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage facilities of the District. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the owner of the land in said area who owns all of the land area therein; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is in a watershed within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area des- cribed as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of Howdershell Road 60 feet wide, and the southeastwardly prolongation of the northeast line of Lot 2, Crestwood Acres, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Mo., according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 43 Page 100 of the St. Louis County Records, which point of intersection is also a point in the exist- ing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence northwestwardly, along said prolongation and said northeast line of said Lot 2 a distance of approximately 405 feet to the northern corner of such Lot 2; thence southwestwardly along the northwest line of said Lot 2 a distance of 117 feet to the western corner thereof; thence southeastwardly along the southwestern line of said Lot 2 and along the southeastwardly prolongation thereof a distance of approximately 405 feet to its intersection with the aforesaid centerline of Howdershell Road; thence northeastwardly, along the aforesaid centerline of Howdershell Road, which is also a portion of the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the owner of the land in said area who owns all of the land area to be served. Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The Metro- politan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to include the above-described area. Section Four. Certified copies of this ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 7, 1963.
