O R D I N A N C E NO. 1065 AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with R & E Asphalt
Service, Inc., for the surfacing of the existing road of the
Kirkwood Treatment No. 2 (Sugar Creek) with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to R & E Asphalt Service, Inc., as the lowest
responsible bidder, for the surfacing of the existing road of the
Kirkwood Treatment Plant No. 2 (Sugar Creek) of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 25th day of October, 1963, and formally executed on the 31st
day of October, 1963 by said contractor and by the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District, in
the following form:
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be
constructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan,
and this Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon
its adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 14, 1963.
