HomeMy Public PortalAbout01068 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1068 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage facilities to be built by the District. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the owner of all the land in said area; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is entirely in a watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers to be built within the District. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities to be built by the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of Howdershell Road and the southwest line of U. S. Survey 162, St. Louis County, Missouri, which point of intersection is also a point on the original boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence northwestwardly along said southwest line of U. S. Survey 162 a distance of 2,924 feet, more or less, to the centerline of a stream known as "Spring Branch"; thence northeastwardly along the centerline of said Spring Branch approximately 1,267 feet to its intersection with the northeast line of U. S. Survey 164; thence southeastwardly along said northeast line of U. S. Survey 164 a distance of 2,597 feet more or less to a stone; thence South 36 degrees 45 minutes West a distance of 192.39 feet to a point; thence South 52 degrees 20 minutes East 278.52 feet to the centerline of Howdershell Road; thence southwestwardly along the centerline of Howdershell Road, which is also a part of the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the owner of all the land in said area. Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to include the above-described area. Section Four. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State.
