AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St.
Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and
drainage facilities of the District.
WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the
owner of the land in said area who owns all of the land area
therein; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is in a watershed within
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can drain all of
its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
A tract of land in Block 136 of Carondelet Commons
south of the River des Peres, St. Louis County, and described as
follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the
centerline of Telegraph Road 80 feet wide with the common block
line of Blocks 135 and 136 of said Carondelet Commons; thence
northwestwardly along said common block line, which block line is
also a part of the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, to the northern corner of said Block 136; thence
southwestwardly along the common block line of Blocks 136 and 142
of said Carondelet Commons, which block line is also a part of the
existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, a
distance of 250 feet to a point; thence eastwardly, along a line
parallel with the northeast line of aforesaid Block 136 to its
intersection with the centerline of aforesaid Telegraph Road 80
feet wide; thence northeastwardly, along said centerline to the
point of beginning.
Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation
was signed by the property owners of all the land in said area.
Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to
include the above-described area.
Section Four. Certified copies of this ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the
Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 14, 1964.
