HomeMy Public PortalAbout01164 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1164 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage facilities of the District. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the owner of the land in said area who owns all of the land area therein; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is in a watershed within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of St. Charles Rock Road (U.S. Highway 40 Alternate) and the northwardly extension of the centerline of Raymond Avenue, which point of intersection is also a point on the existing Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence northwestwardly along said centerline of St. Charles Rock Road to its intersection with the northeastwardly prolongation of the northwest line of Lot 1, Oak Forest, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 15, page 64 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southwestwardly, along said prolongation and said lot line, to a point on said lot line which point is 25 feet north of the southwest corner of said Lot 1, measured along said lot line; thence southeastwardly in a straight line, to a point in the eastern line of aforesaid Lot 1, which point is 50 feet north of the southeast corner of said Lot 1, measured along the eastern line thereof; thence along the eastwardly prolongation of such straight line to its intersection with the centerline of Raymond Avenue; thence northwardly along said centerline of Raymond Avenue, which centerline is also a point in the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the owner of the land in said area who owns all of the land area to be served. Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to include the above-described area. Section Four. Certified copies of this ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State.
