AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St.
Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and
drainage facilities of the District.
WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the
Owner of all of the land in said area; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is primarily in a
watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can
drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers with the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of a south line
of property conveyed to Lillie Viehmann by deed recorded in Book
2192, page 349 of the St. Louis County Records, (which property
lies in U.S. Survey 3042, St. Louis County, Mo.), with the
existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District;
thence westwardly along the south line of said Lillie Viehmann
property to the southwest corner thereof; thence South 06 degrees
25 feet West a distance of 71.62 feet to its intersection with the
north line of Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Right of
Way 100 feet wide; thence westwardly and northwestwardly along the
said north line of railroad right of way to its intersection with
the southern line of tract conveyed to William Washington Viehmann
by deed recorded in Book 405 page 192 of the St. Louis County
Records; thence South 82 degrees 54 feet East along said south
line of William Washington Viehmann a distance of 604 feet more or
less to the southeastern corner of such property, which is also a
point on the northern line of property conveyed to William
Washington Viehmann by deed recorded in Book 227 page 103 of the
St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along the north line
of said property conveyed by deed in Book 227 page 103 to its
intersection with the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District; thence southwardly along said existing
boundary to the point of beginning.
Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation
were signed by the owner of all of the land in said area.
Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to
include the above-described area.
Section Four. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the
Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 10, 1964.
