AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St.
Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and
drainage facilities to be built by the District, with an emergency
clause.
WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the
owners of the land in said area who own all of the land area
therein praying for annexation to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is primarily in a
watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can
drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers to be built within
the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities to be built by the District can efficiently serve the
area described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the
centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard and the centerline of Old St.
Charles Rock Road, which point of intersection is also a point on
the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District; thence northwestwardly along said centerline of Old St.
Charles Rock Road, which is also a part of the existing boundary
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to its intersection
with the centerline of Fee Fee Road; thence southwardly and
southwestwardly along said centerline of Fee Fee Road to its
intersection with the northwestwardly prolongation of the
southwest line of Lot 2 of the Fred Osthoff Estate in U.S. Survey
1203, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 17 page
26 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southeastwardly along
said prolongation and along such southwest line of Lot 2 and its
southeastward prolongation to its intersection with aforesaid
centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard; thence northwardly along said
centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard, which centerline is also a part
of the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, a distance of approximately 720 feet to the point of
beginning.
Section Two. That the petitions praying for annexation
were signed by all of the owners of the land in said area who own
all of the land area of the area to be served.
Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Coldwater Creek
Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above-
described area.
Section Four. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the
Secretary of State.
Section Five. The necessity for the construction of
sewers in the Subdistrict to which this property is to be annexed
creates an emergency within the meaning of the Plan and this -2-
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 6, 1964.
