HomeMy Public PortalAbout01199 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1199 AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of sewer easements, including the sewers therein, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis, by Ordinance No. 47,059, approved April 16, 1954, vacated all the alleys in City Block 2208, bounded by Grand Boulevard, Bernard Avenue, Theresa Avenue and Scott Avenue, reserving, however, easements for sewer purposes therein; and WHEREAS, the owner of such property has granted this District a satisfactory substitute easement by instrument dated the 16th day of June, 1964, and recorded as Daily No. 170, on June 29, 1964 in the City of St. Louis Records; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Those sewer easements reserved over the area of all the former alleys of City Block 2208 of the City of St. Louis, which block is bounded by Grand Boulevard, Bernard Avenue, Theresa Avenue and Scott Avenue, together with any sewers lying therein, are hereby vacated, excepting therefrom those portions of the former alleys coincident with the easement granted to this District by the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of the City of St. Louis by instrument dated June 16, 1964 and recorded as Daily No. 170, June 29, 1964, in the City of St. Louis Records. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 6, 1964.
