AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St.
Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer and
drainage facilities of the District, with an emergency clause.
WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from all
the owners of all the land in said area praying for annexation to
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Mississippi
River Subdistrict, and the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins and is in a watershed within
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and can drain all of
its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District, both existing
and to be built,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OP THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
A tract of land in Part of Lot 8 of Waterhout
Subdivision, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri,
according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 17, Page 30 of
the St. Louis County Records, which tract is described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the south
line of Lot 8 in Waterhout Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book
17, Page 30 of the St. Louis County Records, with the west line of
property now or formerly owned by F. F. Roediger, as recorded in
Deed Book 4608, Page 176 of the St. Louis County Records, said
point also being a point on the existing boundary of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence northwardly along
the west line of said Roediger property and continuing along the
northern prolongation of said west line to the center line of
Court Drive; thence eastwardly along the centerline of said Court
Drive to its intersection with a line, said line running
northwardly from the northeast corner of said Roediger property to
the southwestern corner of property now or formerly owned by Julia
C. Dannenbrink, as recorded in Deed Book 4140, Page 633 of the St.
Louis County Records, said point of intersection also being a
point on the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District; thence southwardly along the last described line to the
northeast corner of said Roediger property; thence southwardly
along the east line of said Roediger property, which is also a
part of the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to the southeast corner thereof, said point also being on
the south line of said Lot 8 of Waterhout Subdivision; thence
westwardly along the south line of said Lot 8, which is also a
part of the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to the point of beginning.
Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation
was signed by all of the property owners of all the land in said
area to be served.
Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Mississippi River

Subdistrict and the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict are hereby
extended so as to include the above-described area.
Section Four. Certified copies of this ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the
Secretary of State.
Section Five. The necessity for the construction of
sewers in the Subdistrict to which this property is to be annexed
creates an emergency within the meaning of the Plan and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 12, 1964.
