AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with Nichols
Engineering and Research Corporation for the design, fabrication,
erection, operation and testing of the Sludge Incinerator
Installations at the Bissell Point and Lemay Sewage Treatment
Plants in the Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District, with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Nichols Engineering and Research Corporation
as the lowest responsible bidder, for the design, fabrication,
erection, operation and testing of the Sludge Incinerator
Installations at the Bissell Point and Lemay Sewage Treatment
Plants in the Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 11th day of February, 1965 and formally executed on the 23rd
day of March, 1965 by said contractor and by the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District, in
the following form:
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for construction of pollution control facilities
urgently required for the protection of the public health,
constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan, and this
Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 24, 1965.
