HomeMy Public PortalAbout01302 O R D I N A N C E No. 1302 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which can be efficiently served by the sewer and drainage facilities of the District. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from all the owners of all the land in said area requesting annexation to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and The Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into sewers within the District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerlines of Lackland Road and Ashby Road, which is a point on the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer 2 District; thence northwardly along the said centerline of Ashby Road to its intersection with the eastwardly prolongation of a line parallel with the north line of US Survey 3042 and lying 50 feet northwardly thereof, measured along the western line of said Ashby Road; thence westwardly along said prolongation and along said parallel line a distance of 145 feet to a point; thence South 7 degrees 1 minute west along a straight line to its intersection with the aforesaid centerline of Lackland Road; thence eastwardly along the said centerline of Lackland Road, which is also a part of the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by all the owners of all the land in said area. Section Three. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to include the above-described area. Section Four. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 24, 1965.
