HomeMy Public PortalAbout01349 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1349 AN ORDINANCE, amending Section Two of Ordinance No. 689 adopted January 8, 1962, as amended by Ordinance No. 1332 adopted May 10, 1965 and revising the boundaries of Subdistrict No. 179 (Lindbergh and Old Olive Street) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, with an emergency clause. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Ordinance No. 689, adopted January 8, 1962, as amended by Ordinance No. 1332 adopted May 10, 1965 is hereby amended by eliminating from the boundaries of Subdistrict No. 179 (Lindbergh and Old Olive Street) as set forth in Section Two thereof,.an area described as follows: Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of the centerline of Old Olive Street Road (60 feet wide) with the southern prolongation of the west line of property now or formerly owned by the Old Olive Street Road Company as recorded in Deed Book 5490, page 396 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along the centerline of said Old Olive Road to its intersection with the southern prolongation of the west line of property now or formerly owned by Charles and Edna Jahn as recorded in Deed Book 2421, page 43 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northwardly along said prolongation and along the west line of said Jahn property to its intersection with a line parallel with and 230 feet north of the centerline of Old Olive Street Road, said 230 feet being measured at right angles to said centerline; thence westwardly along said parallel line to the west line of said Old Olive Street Road Company property; thence southwardly along said west line and along the southern prolongation of said west line to the point of beginning, for the reason that the Board of Trustees finds that such property would not be benefited by the proposed sewer facilities to be constructed in such subdistrict. Section Two. Section Two of said Ordinance No. 689, as hereby amended, shall read as follows: "Section Two. The boundaries of Subdistrict No. 179 shall be as follows: LINDBERGH AND OLD OLIVE STREET Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of the centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard with the centerline of New Olive Street Road; thence westwardly along the centerline of said New Olive Street Road to its intersection with the southern prolongation of the west line of property now or formerly owned by Rose Schreffer as recorded in Deed Book 3905 on Page 545 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northwardly along said prolongation and along the west line of said Schreffer property and continuing along the northern prolongation of said west line to its intersection with the centerline of Old Olive Street Road (60 feet wide); thence eastwardly along the centerline of said Old Olive Street Road to its intersection with the southern prolongation of the west line of property now or formerly owned by the Charles and Edna Jahn as recorded in Deed Book 2421, Page 43 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northwardly along said prolongation and along the west line of said Jahn property to its intersection with a line parallel with and 230 feet north of the centerline of Old Olive Street Road, said 230 feet being measured at right angles to said centerline; thence eastwardly along said parallel line to the centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard; thence southwardly along the centerline of said Lindbergh Boulevard to the point of beginning. Ord. No. 1349 Section Three. An emergency exists within the meaning of the Plan, since the construction of the sewers for this project is currently underway and a revision of the engineering plans is necessary and approval of the revised engineering plans is scheduled for consideration of the Board of Trustees at this meeting. Accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 29, 1965.
