AN ORDINANCE, amending Section One of Ordinance No.
1287, adopted February 25, 1965, as amended by Ordinance No. 1336
adopted May 28, 1965, and correcting the description of the land
to be acquired as part of the Water Pollution Control Project of
the Mississippi River Subdistrict of the Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, and containing an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. Ordinance No. 1287, adopted February 25,
1965, and amended by Ordinance No. 1336 adopted May 28, 1965, is
hereby amended by correcting the description of the land to be
acquired as part of the Water Pollution Control Project of the
Mississippi River Subdistrict of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, as set forth in Section One thereof, which amended and
corrected description is hereby found and declared to be necessary
to acquire and appropriate for the uses set forth in such
Ordinance No. 1287.
Section Two. Section One of said Ordinance No. 1287 as
hereby amended, shall read as follows:
"Section One. There shall be and is hereby established
as part of the Water Pollution Control Project of the Mississippi
River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
contemplated by Ordinance No. 775, adopted on the 25th day of
June, 1962, the following described land located in St.Louis
County, State of Missouri:

Beginning at a point in the Southeastern line of
Broadway Blvd., 60 feet wide, at its intersection with the
Southerly line of property conveyed to Reconstruction Finance
Corporation by deed recorded in Book 2045, Page 554 of the St.
Louis County Records; thence along the Southerly line of property
conveyed to Reconstruction Finance Corporation South 31 degrees 55
minutes 30 seconds East a distance of 1506.38 feet to a point;
thence continuing along said Southerly line South 3 degrees 21-1/2
minutes East a distance of 189.96 feet to a point in the
centerline of former Van Buren Street; thence along the centerline
of former Van Buren Street South 33 degrees 21 minutes West a
distance of 650.76 feet to a point; thence continuing along the
centerline of former Van Buren Street South 21 degrees 21 minutes
West a distance of 450 feet to a point in the Northeastern line of
property now or formerly of Columbian Carbon Company; thence along
said Northeastern line North 37 degrees 51-1/2 minutes West a
distance of 229.32 feet to a point; thence along the Northwestern
line of the property now or formerly of Columbian Carbon Company
South 52 degrees 8-1/2 minutes West a distance of 598.18 feet to a
point in the Southwestern line of Allen's Subdivision in the
Chouquette Tract; thence North 37 degrees 51-1/2 minutes West
along said Southwestern line a distance of 1682.3 feet to a point
being the Northwest corner of Allen's Subdivision in the
Chouquette Tract; thence North 35 degrees 43-1/2 minutes West a
distance of 184.68 feet to a point in the Southeastern line of

Broadway Blvd., 60 feet wide; thence along the Southeastern line
of Broadway Blvd. North 53 degrees 51-1/4 minutes East a distance
of 1614.75 feet to a point; thence continuing along the
Southeastern line of Broadway Blvd. North 41 degrees 10-3/4
minutes East a distance of 247.44 feet to the point of beginning.
Section Three. The immediate construction of a system
of sanitary interceptor sewers and sewage disposal and treatment
plants and works for said subdistrict being necessary in order to
protect the public health constitutes an emergency within the
meaning of the Plan of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
and this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
