AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St.
Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer or
drainage facilities of the District.
WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the
owner of all the land in said area praying for annexation to The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Mississippi River
Subdistrict; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict, is primarily
within a watershed of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
and said Subdistrict and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into
existing sewers within the District and such Subdistrict, that the
interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be
promoted by including the area in its territory; and that the
sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available
outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the
District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the existing boundary of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, said point being on the
north line of the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter of
Section 36, Township 46 North, Range 5 East, St. Louis County,
Missouri and said point being five hundred fifty (550) feet east
of the centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard; thence westwardly along
said north line and said north line extended westwardly a distance
of approximately five hundred fifty (550) feet to its intersection
with the said centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard; thence
northwardly along said centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard to its
intersection with the east-west centerline of said Section 36,
Township 46 North, Range 5 East; thence eastwardly along said
east-west centerline to a point on said centerline which is 250
feet east of the north-south centerline of said Section 36,
measured along said east-west centerline and which point is also a
point on the existing Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
boundary; thence continuing eastwardly along said east-west
centerline, which is also a part of said existing boundary of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to a point on said east-west
centerline which is 800 feet east of the centerline of aforesaid
Lindbergh Boulevard, measured along said east-west centerline;
thence southeastwardly and southwestwardly along the existing
boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to the point
of beginning.
Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation
was signed by the owner of all land in said area who owns all of
the land area to be served.
Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and
public health of the District will be promoted by including the
area in its territory.
Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area pro-
posed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District.
Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metro-
politan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Mississippi River
Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above
described area.
Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the
Secretary of State.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 15, 1965.
