AN ORDINANCE vacating and abandoning all of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District's right, title, and interest
in certain sewer easements, sewers, and sewer appurtenances in and
adjacent to City Blocks 2200 and 2199 of the City of St. Louis,
Missouri.
WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis has vacated and
abolished certain streets and alleys in City Blocks 2200 and 2199
by enactment of its Ordinances Numbers 52723 and 41028, wherein
were reserved the sewer easements of the District, and
WHEREAS, the sewer system has been so revised that the
sewers situated in such vacated streets and alleys and the appur-
tenances thereto are no longer required for public use,
NOW, THEREFORE., BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The District hereby vacates and abandons
all of its right, title, and interest in the sewer easements,
sewers, and sewer appurtenances described as follows, to wit:
1. The sewer easement in that portion of Clark Avenue
vacated by Ordinance No. 52723 of the City of St. Louis, Missouri,
being that portion westward approximately 345 feet from the west
line of Grand Boulevard to a line 20 feet east of the northward
extension of the west line of Lot 27 in City Block 2199, together
with the sewers therein and the inlets and appurtenances to such
sewers in or adjacent to such vacated portion of Clark Avenue, as
well as the section of sewer extending west therefrom to, but not
including, the new sewer manhole situated approximately 115 feet
east of the east line of Prospect Avenue.
2. The sewer easement in the alley in City Block 2200
vacated by Ordinance No. 52723 of the City of St. Louis, Missouri,
being the north-south alley bounded by Grand Boulevard Forest
Park, Clark and vacated Prospect Avenue, together with the sewer
therein and the appurtenances to such sewer situated in or
adjacent to such alley.
3. The sewer easement in the alley in City Block 2199
vacated by Ordinance No. 52723 of the City of St. Louis, Missouri,
being the east-west alley from the west line of Grand Boulevard
westward approximately 345 feet to a line 20 feet east of the
southward extension of the west line of Lot 27 in City Block 2199,
together with the sewer therein and the appurtenances to such
sewer, as well as the section of sewer westward therefrom to, but
not including, the new sewer manhole situated approximately 115
feet east of the east line of Prospect Avenue.
4. The sewer easement in the alley in City Block 2199
vacated by Ordinance No. 41028 of the City of St. Louis, Missouri,
being the north-south alley located approximately 135 feet
west of the west line of Grand Boulevard, together with the sewer
therein and the appurtenances to such sewer.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 29, 1965.
