HomeMy Public PortalAbout01398 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1398 AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of sewer easements, including the sewers therein, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis, by Ordinance No. 52,877, approved November 24, 1964, vacated a portion of Clark Avenue 60 feet wide, from the western terminus of the area vacated by Ordinance No. 52723 of the City of St. Louis approved June 15, 1964, westward approximately 45 feet to the northerly extension of the west line of Lot 26 in City Block 2199; and also vacated the portion of alley in said City Block 2199 from the western terminus of the area vacated by such Ordinance No. 52723 westward approximately 45 feet to the southerly extension of the west line of Lot 26 in City Block 2199, reserving, however, an easement for sewer purposes to this District; and WHEREAS, the owner of the adjacent property has relocated the sewers therein and the District has no further need for such easements, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The District hereby vacates the easements and sewers and appurtenances therein which are described as follows, to wit: The sewer easement reserved to this District by the City of St. Louis in that portion of Clark Avenue 60 feet wide vacated by aforesaid Ordinance No. 52877 of the City of St. Louis, Missouri, being that portion of said Clark Avenue from the western terminus of the area vacated by aforesaid Ordinance No. 52723 westward approximately 45 feet to the northerly extension of the west line of Lot 26 in City Block 2199 together with the sewers and appurtenances therein; the sewer easement reserved as aforesaid in that portion of the alley in City Block 2199 from the western terminus of the area vacated by aforesaid Ordinance No. 52723 westward approximately 45 feet to the southerly extension of the west line of Lot 26 in City Block 2199, together with the sewers and appurtenances therein. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 5, 1965.
