AN ORDINANCE, repealing Ordinance No. 1318 adopted
April 22, 1965, establishing Subdistrict No. 260 (New York and
Shelby) and enacting an ordinance re-establishing a subdistrict in
St. Louis County, Missouri, to be known as Subdistrict No. 260
(New York and Shelby) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District.
WHEREAS, by adoption of Ordinance No. 1318 a
subdistrict to be known as Subdistrict No. 260 (New York and
Shelby) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District was
established for the purpose of constructing sewer or drainage
facilities, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees, having been informed
thereon, finds that a revision of the boundaries of such
improvement area is advisable and desires that a public hearing be
held before such subdistrict is revised,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. Hereby repealed is Ordinance No. 1318
adopted April 22, 1965, whereby Subdistrict No. 260 (New York and
Shelby) was established.
Section Two. Pursuant to a petition of residents of
the District, there is hereby re-established a subdistrict of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District within which sewer or
drainage facilities may be constructed, reconstructed, or improved
at the expense of the subdistrict. Such subdistrict shall be

known as Subdistrict No. 260 (New York and Shelby).
Section Three. The boundaries of Subdistrict No. 260
(New York and Shelby) shall be as follows: NEW YORK AND SHELBY
Beginning at a point said point being the intersection of the
centerline of Big Bend Boulevard and the centerline of Taylor
Avenue; thence eastwardly along the centerline of Big Bend
Boulevard to the centerline of Attucks Street; thence eastwardly
along the centerline of Attucks Street to its intersection with
the northern prolongation of the east line of Lot 23 in Block 12
of Meacham Park; as recorded in Plat Book 3, page 33 of the St.
Louis County Records; thence southwardly along said prolongation
and along the east line of said Lot 23 to the southeast corner
thereof, said corner also being the northeast corner of Lot 32 in
said Block 12; thence westwardly and southwardly along the north
and west lines of said Lot 32 and continuing southwardly along the
southern prolongation of said west line of said Lot 32 to the
centerline of New York Street; thence eastwardly along the
centerline of New York Street to its intersection with the
northern prolongation of the east line of Lot 24 in Block 13 of
said Meacham Park; thence southwardly along said prolongation and
along the east line of said Lot 24 to the southeast corner
thereof, said corner also being the northwest corner of Lot 30 in
said Block 13; thence eastwardly and southwardly along the north

and east lines of said Lot 30 and the southern prolongation of the
east line of said Lot 30 to the centerline of Meacham Street;
thence westwardly along the centerline of Meacham Street to its
intersection with the northern prolongation of the east line of
Lot 14 in Block 14 of said Meacham Park; thence southwardly along
said prolongation and along the east line of said Lot 14 to the
southeast corner thereof; thence westwardly along the south line
of Lots 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5 and 4 in said Block 14
to the southwest corner of said Lot 4; thence northwardly along
the west line of said Lot 4 and its prolongation northwardly to
the centerline of Meacham Street; thence westwardly along the
centerline of Meacham Street to its intersection with the northern
prolongation of the east line of Lot 27 in Block 3 of said Meacham
Park; thence southwardly along said prolongation and along the
east line of said Lot 27 to the southeast corner thereof; thence
westwardly along the south line of Lots 27, 26, 25, 24, 23, 22,
21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9 and 4 in said
Block 3 and continuing along the western prolongation of the south
line of said Lot 4 to the centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard;
thence northwardly along the centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard to
the centerline of Chester Avenue; thence eastwardly along said
centerline of Chester Avenue to the centerline of Taylor Avenue;
thence southwardly along the centerline of Taylor Avenue to the
point of beginning.
