AN ORDINANCE, establishing a subdistrict in St. Louis
County, Missouri, to be known as Subdistrict No. 283 (Emerson West
Subtrunk) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. Pursuant to a petition of residents of
the District, there is hereby established a subdistrict of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District within which sewer or
drainage facilities may be constructed, reconstructed, or improved
at the expense of the subdistrict. Such subdistrict shall be
known as Subdistrict No. 283 (Emerson West Subtrunk).
Section Two. The boundaries of Subdistrict No. 283
(Emerson West Subtrunk) shall be as follows:
EMERSON WEST SUBTRUNK
Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of the
centerline of Emerson Road (40 feet wide) with the eastern
prolongation of the north line of property now or formerly owned
by Joseph and Mary Tripodi as recorded in Deed Book 1242, page 466
of the St. Louis County Records; thence westwardly along said
prolongation and along the north line of said Tripodi property to
the northwest corner thereof; thence southwardly along the west
line of said Tripodi property and along the west line of property
now or formerly owned by Joseph D. and Virginia E. Tripodi as
recorded in Deed Book 3564 page 55 of the St. Louis County
Records, to the southwest corner of the last mentioned Tripodi
property, said point also being the northernmost corner of lot 14
in Emerson Court as recorded in Plat Book 68, page 43 of the St.
Louis County Records; thence southwestwardly along the northwest
line of said lot 14 to the westernmost corner thereof, said point
also being a point on the eastern right-of-way line of Interstate
Highway 244; thence in a general southerly direction along said
eastern right-of-way line to the southwest corner of lot 2 in said
Emerson Court; thence southwestwardly along a straight line,
across said Interstate Highway 244 to the point of intersection of
the centerline of Ida Drive (50 feet wide) with the centerline of
Ewen Drive (50 feet wide); thence westwardly along the centerline
of said Ewen Drive to its intersection with the southern
prolongation of a line 100' east of and parallel with the east
line of property now or formerly owned by J.D. Kilgore and wife as
recorded in Deed Book 3548, page 367 of the St. Louis County
Records; thence northwardly along said prolongation and along said
line 100' east of the east line of said Kilgore property to the
north line of Emerson Terrace First Addition as recorded in Plat
Book 51, page 43 of the St. Louis County Records; thence
westwardly along the north line of Emerson Terrace First Addition
and continuing along the north line of the Resubdivision of Lot 7
and part of 6 of Emerson Terrace 1st Addition as recorded in Plat
Book 95, page 39 of the St. Louis County Records, to the existing
western boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District; thence southwardly and southeastwardly along the
existing boundary line of The Metropolitan Sewer District to its
intersection with the northern prolongation of the west line of
Emerson Road; thence southwardly along said prolongation and along
the west line of said Emerson Road to its intersection with the
western prolongation of the south line of lot 1 in Balmoral as
recorded in Plat Book 94, page 9 of the St. Louis County Records;
thence eastwardly along said prolongation and along the south line
of lots 1 and 2 in said Balmoral to the southeast corner of said
lot 2; thence northwardly along the east line of said lot 2 and
the northern prolongation of said east line to the centerline of
Rocky Drive; thence westwardly along the centerline of Rocky Drive
to its intersection with the southern prolongation of the east
line of lot 24 in said Balmoral; thence northwardly along said
prolongation and along the eastern lines of lots 24 thru 30 in
said Balmoral, to the northeast corner of said lot 30; thence
northwestwardly along the northern line of said lot 30 and its
prolongation northwestwardly to the centerline of said Emerson
Road; thence northwardly, eastwardly and northwardly along the
centerline of said Emerson Road to the point of beginning.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 13, 1966.
