HomeMy Public PortalAbout01453 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1453 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer or drainage facilities of the District. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the owner of all the land in said area praying for annexation to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Mississippi River Subdistrict, and the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Mississippi River Subdistrict, and the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict, and the existing sewers of the District and Subdistricts are adequate to handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at a point in the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, as extended by 2 Ordinance No. 783, adopted June 25, 1962, which point is further described as the western corner of Block 19, Carondelet Commons South of the River des Peres, (called Lot 19, Carondelet Commons on the plat of Crecelius Subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 22 page 33 of the St. Louis County Records); thence northeastwardly along the northwestern line of said Block 19, which is also a part of the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, a distance of 180.70 feet to a point; thence northwestwardly, at right angles to said northwestern block line, a distance of 20.46 feet to the northwestern line of a lane 20.46 feet wide known as Union Road; thence North 59 degrees 15 minutes 40 seconds West 171.37 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 5 of Lindbergh Union Acres of the Crecelius Farm, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 31 page 75 of the St. Louis County Records; thence North 59 degrees 17 minutes West along the southwest line of said Lot 5 a distance of 150 feet to the southwest corner of said Lot 5; thence South 30 degrees 44 minutes 20 seconds West a distance of 4.19 feet to a point; thence South 40 degrees 15 minutes 20 seconds West 400.47 feet to a point; thence South 05 degrees 10 minutes West 267.60 feet to a point; thence South 39 degrees 26 minutes East a distance of 214.27 feet to a point, which point is also in the northwestern line of aforesaid 20.46 foot wide 3 lane; thence southeastwardly, at right angles to the said northwestern line of said lane, a distance of 20.46 feet to the southeastern line of said lane, which is also the northwestern line of aforesaid Block 20 of Carondelet Commons; thence northeastwardly, along said northwestern line of said Block 20 to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the owner of all land in said area who owns all of the land area to be served. Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Mississippi River Subdistrict and the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above described area. Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. 4 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 13, 1966.
