AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with Samuel Kraus
Company, for the construction of the Franklin Interceptor System
for the Mississippi River Subdistrict within The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Samuel Kraus Company, as the lowest
responsible bidder, for the construction of the Franklin
Interceptor Sewer System along Wharf Street between Cole and Lucas
Streets for the Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 5th day of January, 1966 and formally executed on the 12th day
of January, 1966 by said contractor and by the Executive Director
and the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District, in the
following form:
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be
constructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan,
and this Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon
its adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 13, 1966.
