AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Thousand Six Hundred
Dollars ($2,600.00) from the unencumbered balance of the
Improvement Fund to be used for the purchase of Special Tax Bill
No. 14312B issued under Ordinance No. 1089.
WHEREAS, the Board is informed that Special Tax Bill
No. 14312B, which was issued under Ordinance No. 1089 along with
others in payment for the improvement in Subdistrict No. 108
(Lindbergh-Union Trunk) is unpaid and must be enforced in a court
of competent jurisdiction, and
WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Board that the
interests of the District will be best served by direct litigation
by the District, and
WHEREAS, the owner of said Special Tax Bill has offered
to sell and assign the Bill to the District at a substantial
discount from its present value,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Thousand Six Hundred
Dollars ($2,600.00) is hereby appropriated from the unencumbered
balance of the Improvement Fund to be used for the purchase of
Special Tax Bill No. 14312B, as described above.
Section Two. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 10, 1966.
