HomeMy Public PortalAbout01471 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1471 AN ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Executive Director to Quit-Claim certain real estate in St. Louis County, Missouri, formerly used for the City of Oakland Sewage Disposal Plant to the City of Crestwood, Missouri, and to execute a quit- claim deed upon the conditions herein set out. WHEREAS, pursuant to the Plan of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and by Resolution No. 6 of the District, adopted July 1, 1954 and recorded in Book 3286, Page 90 of the St. Louis County Records, the District took title for its use and possession to a sewage treatment plant formerly of the City of Oakland, situated in St. Louis County, and known as the "City of Oakland Treatment Plant"; and WHEREAS, the District abandoned the use of the City of Oakland Treatment Plant several years ago and therefore has no apparent use for this tract of ground; and WHEREAS, the City of Crestwood, Missouri, has requested the District to quit-claim this tract of land to the City of Crestwood, so that said city may develop this tract as a park; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The District, upon condition that the City of Crestwood, Missouri grant to the Sewer District all necessary easements for storm and sanitary purposes does hereby Remise, Release and forever Quit-Claim to the City of Crestwood, Missouri, any right, title or interest in or to the following 2 described real estate, situated in the County of St. Louis and State of Missouri, to wit: Part of Lots 24, 25, 28 and 29 of the "Subdivision of Clover Hill"' according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 6, Page 18 of the St. Louis County Records, and described as: Beginning at the Southwest corner of the property of Hezekiah Sanders in said Subdivision; thence North 52 degrees 07 minutes East along the Southerly line of the Hezekiah Sanders property, said line being also the Northerly line of "Clover Hill Amended Subdivision No. 2", a distance of 139.82 feet to the Southwest corner of property conveyed to Mary A. Pockels, et al, by deed recorded in Book 3896, Page 564 of the St. Louis County Records; thence North 37 degrees 53 minutes West, 108 feet and North 52 degrees 07 minutes East, 90.18 feet along the western and northern lines of said Pockels property to the Northeastern corner thereof; thence North 37 degrees 53 minutes East, 162.00 feet; thence South 52 degrees 07 minutes West, 175.15 feet, more or less, to a point in Gravois Creek, said point being also in the Westerly line of said Sanders property; thence South 26 degrees 24 minutes East along the centerline of Gravois Creek, 275.51 feet, more or less, to the beginning; containing 1.03, more or less, Acres. ALSO, Lot 10 in Block 8 of "Clover Hill Subdivision Amended Plat No. 2" as per Plat recorded in Plat Book 14, Page 13, of 3 the St. Louis County Records. ALSO, Part of Lots 23, 24 and 29 of "Clover Hill" a subdivision in St. Louis County, Missouri, as per plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 6, Page 18 of the St. Louis County Recorder's Office, being an unsubdivided tract of land shown on the plat of "Westbrook Park", the plat of which is recorded in Plat Book 41, Page 31 of the St. Louis County Recorder's office, and described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 1, Block 4 of said "Westbrook Park"; thence along the West line of said Block 4, North 37 degrees 41 minutes West 140.77 feet and North 54 degrees 57 minutes 42 seconds West, 289.78 feet and North 37 degrees 41 minutes West 28.26 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 10 in said Block 4; thence continuing along the West line of said Lot 10, North 37 degrees 41 minutes West to its intersection with the South line of the Park which adjoins said Block 4 on the West; thence West along the South line of said Park, 72 feet, more or less, to the Southwest corner of said Park; thence South 37 degrees 11 minutes West, 120 feet; thence South 55 degrees 16 minutes East, 161.50 feet; thence South 26 degrees 24 minutes East, 23.19 feet, more or less, to the Northwest line of property conveyed to Village of Oakland by deed recorded in Book 1452, Page 515 of the St. Louis County Records; thence along said Northwest line North 52 degrees 7 minutes East, 175.15 feet, more or less, to the most Northern corner thereof; thence along the Northeast line of said property, South 37 degrees 53 minutes East, 270 feet to the most Eastern corner thereof; thence North 52 4 degrees 07 minutes East, 48.19 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. Section Two. The Executive Director is hereby authorized and directed to execute in behalf of the District a Deed giving effect to Section One hereof. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 10, 1966.
