HomeMy Public PortalAbout01493 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1493 AN ORDINANCE, amending Section Two of Ordinance No. 1378, adopted August 26, 1965, and revising the boundaries of Subdistrict No. 277 (Oakwood Manor) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Ordinance No. 1378, adopted August 26, 1965, is hereby amended by eliminating from the boundaries of Subdistrict No. 277 (Oakwood Manor), as set forth in Section Two thereof, an area described as follows: Beginning at a point said point being the northwest corner of property now or formerly owned by Walter and Mildred Werkmeister as recorded in Deed Book 3772, page 12 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along the north line of said Werkmeister property to the northeast corner thereof; thence southwardly along the east line of said property to the southwest corner of property, now or formerly owned by Orville and Rose Werkmeister as recorded by Daily No. 166 on January 27, 1958 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along the south line of said Werkmeister property to the west line of a private road 40 feet wide as recorded by Daily No. 62 on February 9, 1959 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southwardly along the west line of said private road to the north line of Denny Road; thence eastwardly along the north line of said Denny Road to the east line of said private road; thence northwardly along the east line of said 40 foot private road to the southwest 2 corner of property now or formerly owned by James A. Werkmeister as recorded by Daily Number 33 on August 14, 1958 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along the south line of last mentioned Werkmeister property to the southeast corner thereof; thence northwardly along the east line of said property to its intersection with a line parallel with and 220 feet south of the south line of Lot 1 in Fred W. Wohlschlaeger Tract as recorded in Plat Book 15, page 132 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along said parallel line to the west line of Sappington Road; thence northwardly along said west line to the southeast corner of property now or formerly owned by John F. and Martha Schroeder as recorded in Deed Book 810 page 513 of the St. Louis County Records; thence westwardly along the south line of said Schroeder property to the east line of said James A. Werkmeister property; thence northwardly along the east line of said Werkmeister property to the northeast corner thereof in the south line of lot 1 of said Fred W. Wohlschlaeger Tract; thence westwardly along the south line of said lot 1 to its intersection with the northern prolongation of the west line of aforesaid Walter and Mildred Werkmeister property; thence southwardly along said prolongation to the northwest corner of said Werkmeister property, the point of beginning. for the reason that the Board of Trustees finds that such property would not be benefited by the proposed sewer facilities to be constructed in such subdistrict. 3 Section Two. Section Two of said Ordinance No. 1378 as hereby amended, shall read as follows: "Section Two. The boundaries of Subdistrict No. 277 shall be as follows: 4 5 OAKWOOD MANOR Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of the centerline of Gravois Road, 80 feet wide with the centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard, 100 feet wide; thence northwardly along the centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard to its intersection with the centerline of Parklind Drive 40 feet wide; thence northwardly along the centerline of Parklind Drive to its intersection with the western prolongation of the north line of Lot 8, Block 7 of Sunset Club Court, a subdivision in St. Louis County, Missouri, as recorded in Plat Book 23, page 52 of the St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence eastwardly along said prolongation and along said north line and its prolongation eastwardly to its intersection with the west line of Oakwood Manor, a subdivision as recorded in Plat Book 74, page 41 of said Recorder's Office; thence northwardly along said west line of Oakwood Manor to its intersection with the eastern prolongation of the south line of property conveyed to Dolores M. Schindler as recorded in Deed Book 5140, page 406 of said Recorder's Office; thence westwardly along said prolongation and along said south line to the southwest corner of said Schindler property; thence northwardly along the west line of said Schindler property and its northward prolongation to its intersection with the centerline of Denny Road 60 feet wide; thence westwardly along said centerline to its intersection with the southern prolongation of a line parallel with and 330 feet westwardly of, the west line of property conveyed to Louis J. and Florence Appel as recorded in Deed Book 6 3100, page 511 of the St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence northwardly along said prolongation and along said parallel line to its intersection with a line parallel with, and 180 feet northwardly of, the centerline of Denny Road; thence eastwardly along the last mentioned parallel line to its intersection with the west line of said Appel property; thence northwardly along the west line of said Appel property to its intersection with a line parallel with, and 230 feet northwardly of, the centerline of Denny Road; thence eastwardly along the last mentioned parallel line to its intersection with the west line of property conveyed to Walter and Mildred Werkmeister as recorded in Deed Book 3772, page 12 of said Recorder's Office; thence northwardly along the west line of said Werkmeister property to the northwest corner thereof; thence eastwardly along the north line of said Werkmeister property to the northeast corner thereof; thence southwardly along the east line of said property to the southwest corner of property, now or formerly owned by Orville and Rose Werkmeister as recorded by Daily No. 166 on January 27, 1958 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along the south line of said Werkmeister property to the west line of a private road 40 feet wide as recorded by Daily No. 62 on February 9, 1959 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southwardly along the west line of said private road to the north line of Denny Road; thence eastwardly along the north line of said Denny Road to the east line of said private road; thence northwardly along the east line of said 40 foot private road to the southwest corner of property 7 now or formerly owned by James A. Werkmeister as recorded by Daily Number 33 on August 14, 1958 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along the south line of last mentioned Werkmeister property to the southeast corner thereof; thence northwardly along the east line of said property to its intersection with a line parallel with and 220 feet south of the south line of Lot 1 in Fred W. Wohlschlaeger Tract as recorded in Plat Book 15, page 132 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along said parallel line to the west line of Sappington Road; thence northwardly along said west line to the southeast corner of property now or formerly owned by John F. and Martha Schraeder as recorded in Deed Book 810 page 513 of the St. Louis County Records; thence westwardly along the south line of said Schraeder property to the east line of said James A. Werkmeister property; thence northwardly along the east line of said Werkmeister property to the northeast corner thereof in the south line of lot 1 of said Fred W. Wohlschlaeger Tract; thence eastwardly along the south line of said Lot 1 to its intersection with a line parallel with, and 250 feet westwardly of, the centerline of Sappington Road, 40 feet wide; thence northwardly along said parallel line to its intersection with the western prolongation of the north line of property conveyed to Ilma Wallach as recorded in Deed Book 1919, page 489 of said Recorder's Office; thence eastwardly along said prolongation and along said north line to its intersection with a line parallel with, and 250 feet eastwardly of, the centerline of Sappington Road; thence 8 southwardly along said parallel line to its intersection with the south line of property conveyed to Cora M. Lohrum, a widow and Elmer C. Lohrum her son, in Deed Book 5201, page 67 of said Recorder's Office; thence eastwardly along said south line to a southeast corner of said Lohrum property, said point also being the northwest corner of property conveyed to J.T. Matoushek, as recorded in Deed Book 5298, page 320 (Fourth Parcel) of said Recorder's Office; thence northeastwardly along the northern line of said Matoushek property to the northernmost corner thereof; thence southwardly along the eastern line of said Matoushek property to its intersection with a line parallel with, and 240 feet northwestwardly of, the centerline of Gravois Road, 80 feet wide; thence northeastwardly along said parallel line to its intersection with the northern prolongation of the west line of property conveyed to Frank X. Doerer etal, as recorded in Deed Book 3853, page 397 of said Recorder's Office; thence southwardly along said prolongation to the northwestern corner of said Doerer property; thence northeastwardly along the northern line of said Doerer property to the northernmost corner thereof, said corner being the northwestern corner of property conveyed to Helen A. Briggs as recorded in Deed Book 5295, page 217 of said Recorder's Office; thence northeastwardly along the northern line of said Briggs property to the northernmost corner thereof; thence northeastwardly in a straight line to the northwest corner of property conveyed to Frank L. and Lillian C. Klein, Jr. as recorded in Deed Book 1939, page 380 of the St. Louis County 9 Recorder's Office; thence northeastwardly along the northern line of said Klein property to the easternmost corner thereof, said point also being the northeast corner of another tract now or formerly owned by Frank L. and Lillian C. Klein, Jr. as recorded in Deed Book 1612, page 610 of said Recorder's Office; thence southwardly along the eastern line of the last mentioned Klein property and said eastern lines prolongation southwardly to the centerline of Gravois Road; thence along said centerline of Gravois Road in a southwestwardly direction to its intersection with the centerline of Denny Road; thence westwardly along the centerline of Denny Road to its intersection with the centerline of Sappington Road; thence southwardly along the centerline of Sappington Road to its intersection with the centerline of Gravois Road; thence southwestwardly along the centerline of Gravois Road to its intersection with the southern prolongation of the west line of Theiss Subdivision, a subdivision in St. Louis County, Missouri, as recorded in Plat Book 20, page 92 of said Recorder's Office; thence northwardly along said prolongation and along the western line of said Subdivision to its intersection with a line parallel with, and 230 feet southwardly of, the centerline of Denny Road; thence westwardly along said parallel line to its intersection with the eastern line of the aforementioned Oakwood Manor; thence southwardly along the eastern line of said Subdivision to the southeast corner of Lot 11 in said Oakwood Manor Subdivision; thence southwestwardly along the eastern lines of Lot 10 and Lot 9 in said Subdivision to the southeast corner of 10 said Lot 9, said corner being in the north line of property conveyed to Wm. P. LaMear etal, as recorded in Deed Book 5453, page 161 of said Recorder's Office; thence southwardly across said LaMear property along a line parallel to the west line of said property to its intersection with the centerline of Gravois Road; thence southwestwardly along said centerline to its intersection with the centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard, the point of beginning. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 24, 1966.
