HomeMy Public PortalAbout01527 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1527 AN ORDINANCE, repealing Ordinance No. 667 adopted December 7, 1961, Resolution No. 512, adopted April 23, 1962 and Resolution No. 526 adopted May 28, 1962, and enacting an ordinance establishing a subdistrict in St. Louis County, Missouri, to be known as Subdistrict No. 174 (Kingdom and Empire) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. WHEREAS, by adoption of Ordinance No. 667 a subdistrict to be known as Subdistrict No. 174 (Kingdom and Empress) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District was established for the purpose of constructing sanitary sewers, and by Resolution No. 512 such improvement was declared to be necessary, and by Resolution No. 526 the construction of such sewers was declared to be in the public interest, and WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees, having been informed thereon, finds that a revision of the boundaries and name of such sewer improvement area is advisable and desires that a public hearing be held before such subdistrict is revised, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Hereby repealed are Ordinance No. 667 adopted December 7, 1961, whereby Subdistrict No. 174 (Kingdom and Empress) was established, and Resolution No. 512 adopted April 23, 1962, declaring the necessity of an improvement in said Subdistrict, and Resolution No. 526 adopted May 28, 1962, whereby the construction of sewers to serve the area of such Subdistrict was declared to be in the public interest. Section Two. Pursuant to a petition of residents of the District, there is hereby established a subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District within which sewer or drainage facilities may be constructed, reconstructed, or improved at the expense of the subdistrict. Such subdistrict shall be known as Subdistrict No. 174 (Kingdom and Empire). Section Three. The boundaries of Subdistrict No. 174 (Kingdom and Empire) shall be as follows: (SEE NEXT PAGE) -2- KINGDOM AND EMPIRE Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of Halls Ferry Road with the western prolongation of the north line of Lot 10 in Block 76 of Castle Point Unit No. 3, as recorded in Plat Book 29 on page 11 of the St. Louis County Records; thence eastwardly along said prolongation and along the north line of said Lot 10 and continuing along the eastern prolongation of said north line to the centerline of a 20 foot wide alley running north and south in Block 76 of said Castle Point Unit No. 3; thence northwardly along the centerline of said alley to the centerline of Empire Drive; thence southeastwardly along the centerline of said Empire Drive to its point of intersection with the prolongation southwestwardly of the northwestern line of lot 16 in Block 74 of said Castle Point - Unit No. 3 Subdivision; thence northeastwardly along the prolongation southwestwardly of the northwestern line of said lot 16 and the northwestern line of said lot 16 to its most northern corner; thence southeastwardly along the northeastern lines of lots 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11 and 10 in said Block 74 and the prolongation southeastwardly of the northeastern line of said Lot 10 to its point of intersection with the centerline of an alley, 20 feet wide; thence northeastwardly along the centerline of said alley to its point of intersection with the prolongation northwestwardly of the northeastern line of lot 1 in Block 74 of said Castle Point - Unit No. 3; thence southeastwardly along the prolongation northwestwardly of the northeastern line of said lot 1, the northeastern line of lot 1 and the prolongation southeastwardly -3- of the northeastern line of said lot 1 to its point of intersection with the centerline of Chambers Road; thence southwestwardly along the centerline of said Chambers Road to the centerline of Empire Drive; thence northwardly along the centerline of Empire to the centerline of a 20 foot wide alley, just south of lot 39 in Block 75 of said Castle Point Unit No. 3 Subdivision; thence westwardly along the centerline of said alley to the centerline of the north and south alley, (20 feet wide), in said Block 75; thence southwardly along the centerline of said north and south alley to its intersection with the eastern prolongation of the north line of lot 1 in said Block 75; thence westwardly along said prolongation along the north line of said lot 1 and along the western prolongation of said north line to the centerline of Halls Ferry Road; thence northwardly along the centerline of said Halls Ferry Road to the point of beginning.
