AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with Fred M. Luth &
Sons, Inc., for construction of Miscellaneous Diversion and
Interception Details (Arsenal and Biddle Sewer Systems) for the
Mississippi River Subdistrict within The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest
responsible bidder, for the construction of Miscellaneous
Diversion and Interception Details in the Mississippi River
Subdistrict within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 19th day of October,
1966, and formally executed on the 7th day of November, 1966 by
said contractor and by the Executive Director and the Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of the District in the following form:
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for construction of Miscellaneous Diversion and
Interceptors, sewers, and appurtenances to divert the dry weather
flow presently tributary to the southern Arsenal Relief and Biddle
Street Relief Sewers which will enable the dry weather flow to
enter the Bissell Point Interceptor Sewer which will carry it to
the Bissell Point Sewage Treatment Plant, said construction being
for the Mississippi River Subdistrict which is for the protection
of the public health, constitutes an emergency within the meaning
of the Plan, and this Ordinance shall be and become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 10, 1966. -2-
