HomeMy Public PortalAbout01553 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1553 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area therein, praying for annexation to both the District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and such Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the existing sewers of the District and Subdistrict are adequate to handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at a point in the centerline of U.S. Highway No. 2 67, 150 feet wide, distant 200.00 feet north of the northern line of Parker Road, 50 feet wide, measured at right angles thereto which point is also a point on the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence westwardly and northwestwardly along the existing District boundary, which is a line parallel with and distant 200.00 feet north of the northern and northeastern lines of said Parker Road, measured at right angles thereto, to the southeastern corner of Lot 34, Parker Estates Plat No. 2, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 100 page 16 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northwardly along the eastern line of said Parker Estates Plat No. 2 Subdivision, which line is also a part of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District boundary as extended by Ordinance No. 881 adopted November 27, 1962, a distance of 507.45 feet to a point; thence North 76 degrees 29 minutes East a distance of 200.00 feet to a point; thence North 0 degrees 55 minutes 17 seconds West a distance of 212.56 feet to a point; thence North 86 degrees 17 minutes East 300 feet more or less, to the eastern line of property now or formerly of William A. F. Kuetemann and wife, according to instrument recorded in Book 1034 page 1 of the St. Louis County Records; thence North 0 degrees 43 minutes 30 seconds East a distance of approximately 450 feet to its intersection with the northern line of U.S. Survey 3 2771, being also the southern line of property described in deed to William A. F. Kuetemann and wife, recorded in Book 3398, Page 286, St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence North 85 degrees 15 minutes 30 seconds East 232.88 feet along the southern line of said William A. F. Kuetemann property to its southeastern corner; thence North 3 degrees 34 minutes 45 seconds West 2570.35 feet along the eastern line of said William A. F. Kuetemann property to its northeastern corner; thence South 85 degrees 29 minutes 30 seconds West 1214.71 feet along the northern line of said William A. F. Kuetemann property; thence in a generally northwardly direction the following courses and distances; North 16 degrees 55 minutes 45 seconds West 236.68 feet; North 37 degrees 36 minutes 45 seconds West 250.00 feet; North 30 degrees 05 minutes 45 seconds West 165.00 feet; North 2 degrees 34 minutes 45 seconds West 315.00 feet; North 30 degrees 13 minutes 15 seconds East 395.00 feet and North 53 degrees 50 minutes 15 seconds East 149.04 feet to the southwestern prolongation of the southeastern line of property described in deed to Clear- water Development Co., recorded in Book 4322, Page 233, St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence North 14 degrees 06 minutes 15 seconds East 320.46 feet along said prolongation and along said southeastern line; thence North 17 degrees 38 minutes 45 seconds West 125.02 feet along the eastern line of said Clearwater Development Co. property to its northeastern 4 corner in the southern line of Coldwater Creek Drainage District No. 2-A Right-of-Way, 100 feet wide; thence North 72 degrees 23 minutes 15 seconds East 575.00 feet along the southern line of said Right-of-Way to the centerline of Former Coldwater Creek; thence along the meanders of the centerline of said Former Coldwater Creek South 62 degrees 36 minutes 45 seconds East 106.07 feet; North 81 degrees 51 minutes East 152.07 feet; North 58 degrees 21 minutes 15 seconds East 226.80 feet and North 62 degrees 17 minutes 15 seconds East 135.23 feet to the southern line of said Coldwater Creek Drainage District No. 2-A Right-of-Way; thence eastwardly, southeastwardly, and southwardly 774.32 feet along said Coldwater Creek Drainage District No. 2-A Right-of-Way, along a curve to the right having a radius of 427.00 feet to a point of tangency, the chord of which bears South 37 degrees 29 minutes 45 seconds East 672.50 feet; thence South 14 degrees 27 minutes 15 seconds West 135.30 feet along the western line of said Right-of-Way along a curve to the left having a radius of 460.00 feet to the northern line of property described in deed to Anna Hachmeister, recorded in Book 466, Page 258, St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence South 85 degrees 36 minutes 45 seconds West 47.30 feet along the northern line of said Anna Hachmeister property to its northwestern corner; thence South 4 degrees 25 minutes 15 seconds East 1178.34 feet along the 5 western line of said Anna Hachmeister property to its southwestern corner in the northern line of property described in deed to Stephan P. Ryan and wife, recorded in Book 3192, Page 276, St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence North 85 degrees 36 minutes 45 seconds East 1168.81 feet and North 56 degrees 52 minutes 30 seconds East 219.67 feet along the northern line of said Stephan P. Ryan property to its northeastern corner; thence South 3 degrees 37 minutes 15 seconds East 1390.56 feet along the eastern line of said Stephan P. Ryan property to its southeastern corner, being also the northeastern corner of said Parker Road Development Co., Inc. property; thence South 3 degrees 42 minutes East 389.75 feet and South 3 degrees 49 minutes . 30 seconds East 891.16 feet along the eastern line of said Parker Road Development Co., Inc. property to its southeastern corner in the southern line of said U.S. Survey 1012; thence South 85 degrees 33 minutes 15 seconds West 744.56 feet along the southern line of said U.S. Survey 1012 to the northeastern corner of property described in deed to Granville Hogan, recorded in Book 1557, Page 204, St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence in a generally southwardly and eastwardly direction along the western and southern lines of said Granville Hogan property the following courses and distances: South 19 degrees 27 minutes 30 seconds East 846.09 feet, North 86 degrees 26 minutes East 489.40 feet, South 16 6 degrees 23 minutes East 262.10 feet and North 85 degrees 57 minutes East 865.10 feet to the northwestern corner of ANDERSON SUBDIVISION, recorded in Plat Book 55, Page 10, St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence South 0 degrees 28 minutes West 905.79 feet along the western line of said ANDERSON SUBDIVISION and along the western line of property described in deed to August Lampe and wife, recorded in Book 2534, Page 363, St. Louis County Recorder's Office to a point distant North 0 degrees 28 minutes East 688.25 feet from its intersection with the northern line of said Parker Road; thence South 73 degrees 51 minutes East 375 feet, more or less, to the centerline of said U.S. Highway No. 67; thence southwardly 450 feet, more or less, along said centerline to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the majority of the owners who own more than one-- half of the land in said area. Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek 7 Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above described area. Section Six. Certified copies of this ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 10, 1966.
