AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to purchase from the owner thereof certain real property
in City Block 3049 in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, to be used
as a site for a pump station for the Mississippi River
Subdistrict, prescribing terms, and containing an emergency
clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and the Secretary-
Treasurer of the District are authorized to purchase from the City
of St.Louis, the owner thereof, the following real property in
City Block 3049 in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, to be used as
a site for a pump station for the Mississippi River Subdistrict,
at a price not to exceed Two Thousand Seventy-five Dollars and No
cents ($2,075.00), said property to be free of all encumbrances,
said property described as follows:
Lot in Block "H" of Eiler's Survey of Carondelet and in Block
3049 of the City of St. Louis, Missouri, fronting 150 feet 5
inches on the West line of Reilly Avenue by a depth
Westwardly 137 feet 11 inches to an alley; bounded North by
Upton Street.
Section Two. Upon the execution and delivery to them
by the said owner of a Quit Claim Deed in proper form, being free
from liens and encumbrances, conveying title to the said land to
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive Director
and the Secretary-Treasurer shall be and are hereby authorized and
directed to pay to said owner, for the said land, the total sum of
Two Thousand Seventy-five Dollars and No cents ($2,075.00).
Section Three. An emergency exists within the meaning
of the Plan, since the realty is needed for the protection of the
public health and the purchase must be arranged for without delay.
Accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 10, 1966.
