HomeMy Public PortalAbout01570 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1570 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the District. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area therein, praying for annexation to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of Geyer Road (40 feet wide) and the westward prolongation of the north line of Lot 54 of Windsor Spring Estates Third Addition, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 110 page 65 of the St. Louis County Records, which point is also a point on the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, thence 2 eastwardly along such westward prolongation and along the north line of such Windsor Spring Estates Third Addition Subdivision to the northeast corner thereof, which is also a part of the existing District boundary, thence continuing eastwardly along the northern line of Lot 57 of Windsor Spring Estates 2nd Addition, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri according to the plat thereof recorded in Book 106 pages 64 and 65 of the St. Louis County Records, and continuing in a straight line across Royal Spring Drive to the northwest corner of Lot 20 of said subdivision, being also a part of the existing boundary of the District; thence eastwardly along the northern lines of Lots 20, 22, 23 and the western 11.96 feet of Lot 24 of such Windsor Spring Estates 2nd Addition to the southwest corner of Lot 18 thereof; thence northwardly along the west line of such Lot 18 and its northern prolongation, to its intersection with the north line of Windsor Spring Drive; thence eastwardly, along such north line of Windsor Spring Drive to its intersection with the northwardly prolongation of the east line of said Windsor Spring Estates 2nd Addition Subdivision; thence southwardly along such prolongation and such east line to its intersection with the northwestern line of Interstate Highway 44 right of way; thence south- 3 westwardly along such northwest right of way line a distance of 478.64 feet to an angle point; thence continuing southwestwardly along said northwest right of way line and its westwardly prolongation a distance of 702 feet more or less to its intersection with the centerline of Geyer Road; thence northwardly along said centerline of Geyer Road to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the majority of the owners who own more than one- half of the land in said area. Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to include the above described area. Section Five. Certified copies of this ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of The City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. 4 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 22, 1966.
