AN ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Executive
Director to grant to Laclede Gas Company an easement for gas pipe
lines and appurtenances across certain property of the District in
St. Louis County, Missouri, and to execute an instrument giving
effect thereto upon the conditions hereinafter set out.
WHEREAS, Laclede Gas Company wishes to cross certain
property now of this District with gas lines and appurtenances,
primarily for the purpose of serving the Lemay Sewage Treatment
Plant, and the District is desirous of obtaining such service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
does hereby grant to the Laclede Gas Company the right to con-
struct, reconstruct, repair and maintain gas lines, and appur-
tenances, across property owned by the District in St. Louis
County, Missouri, such property and easement being described as
follows:
An easement ten (10) feet wide lying in property of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District in Part of U. S.
Survey 904, Township 44 North, Range 7 East, as
described in Commissioners' Award in Cause No. 267821,
Circuit Court of St. Louis County, Missouri entitled
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District vs. National
Lead Co. et al, the centerline of which easement is
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southeastwardly property
line of aforesaid property, which point lies distant
from the point of intersection of the property line of
said property and the southeast line of Broadway (60
feet wide), South 31 degrees 55 minutes 30 seconds East
1506.13 feet, South 3 degrees 17 minutes 30 seconds
East 189.96 feet, and South 33 degrees 25 minutes West
68 feet; thence westwardly at an angle to the right of
51 degrees 50 minutes along the said centerline of
easement 90 feet to a point, thence southwardly, at an
angle to the left of 90 degrees 22 minutes a distance
of 114 feet to its point of intersection with aforesaid
property line.
Section Two. Upon the removal of such gas lines and
appurtenances, or upon termination of such service, the said
easement shall cease and determine.
Section Three. The Executive Director is hereby
authorized and directed to execute in behalf of the District an
instrument giving effect to Sections One and Two hereof.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 5, 1967
