HomeMy Public PortalAbout01593 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1593 AN ORDINANCE, amending Section Two of Ordinance No. 1535, adopted September 30, 1966, and revising the boundaries of Subdistrict No. 300 (Cosmos and Baptist Church) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Ordinance No. 1535, adopted September 30, 1966, is hereby amended by eliminating from the boundaries of Subdistrict No. 300 (Cosmos and Baptist Church), as set forth in Section Two thereof, an area described as follows: Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of the centerline of Gravois Road with the northern prolongation of a line parallel with and 100 feet east of the west line of property now or formerly owned by Margaret E., Eugene, and Orville Wotli, as recorded in Deed Book 3680, page 528 of the St. Louis County Records, said 100 feet being measured at right angles to said west line; thence southwardly along said prolongation and along said parallel line to its intersection with a line parallel with and 240 feet south of the centerline of said Gravois Road, said 240 feet being measured at right angles to said centerline; thence southwestwardly along the last mentioned parallel line to the west line of property now or formerly owned by William A. and Loretta G. Sip, as recorded in Deed Book 2171, page 14 of the St. Louis County Records; thence northwardly along the west line of 2 said Sip property and continuing along the northern prolongation of said west line to the centerline of said Gravois Road; thence northeastwardly along the centerline of said Gravois Road to the point of beginning, for the reason that the Board of Trustees finds that such property would not be benefited by the proposed sewer facilities to be constructed in such subdistrict. Section Two. Section Two of said Ordinance No. 1535 as hereby amended, shall read as follows: "Section Two. The boundaries of Subdistrict No. 300 shall be as follows: 3 4 COSMOS & BAPTIST CHURCH Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of the centerline of Baptist Church Road with the eastern prolongation of the north line of Lot 1 in Glenchester Terrace, as recorded in Plat Book 96, page 44 of the St. Louis County Records; thence westwardly along said prolongation and along the north line of said Lot 1 to the northwest corner thereof; thence northwardly along a line parallel with the centerline of said Baptist Church Road (originally 30 feet wide) to the south line of property now or formerly owned by Joseph J. and Johanna Scherting, as recorded in Deed Book 3857, page 326 of the St. Louis County Records; thence westwardly along the south line of said Scherting property to the southwest corner thereof; thence northwardly along the west line of said Scherting property and continuing along the west line of property now or formerly owned by Gerald G. and Rosalon K. Shiffler as recorded in Deed Book 4029, page 32 of the St. Louis County Records, and continuing along the northern prolongation of the west line of said Shiffler property to the centerline of Gravois Road; thence northeastwardly along the centerline of said Gravois Road to its intersection with the northern prolongation of the west line of property now or formerly owned by William A. and Loretta G. Sip, as recorded in Deed Book 2171, page 14 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southwardly, eastwardly and southwardly along the west, south and west line of said Sip property to the southwest corner thereof; thence eastwardly along the southernmost line of said Sip property and continuing along 5 the eastern prolongation of said southernmost line to its intersection with a line parallel with and 100 feet east of the west line of property now or formerly owned by Arthur A. Schulze, as recorded in Deed Book 2742, page 479 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southwardly along said parallel line to the southern line of said Schulze property; thence westwardly along the south line of said Schulze property to the southwest corner thereof; thence westwardly in a straight line to the point of intersection of the east line of Clearwater Drive with the north line of Cosmos Drive; thence southwestwardly in a straight line to the point of intersection of the centerline of Clearwater Drive with the centerline of Cosmos Drive; thence westwardly along the centerline of Cosmos Drive to the centerline of Baptist Church Road; thence southwardly along the centerline of Baptist Church Road to the point of beginning. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 31, 1967. 6
