AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with S & M
Constructors, Inc., for construction of the Lemay Force Main Sewer
from Virginia Avenue and Catalan Street to the site of a new
sewage treatment plant to be constructed East of Broadway between
Waller Avenue and Military Road for the Mississippi River
Subdistrict within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, with
an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to S & M Constructors, Inc., as the lowest
responsible bidder, for the construction of Lemay Force Main Sewer
in the Mississippi River Subdistrict within The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the
30th day of March, 1967, and formally executed on the 13th day of
April, 1967 by said contractor and by the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District in the following
form:
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for construction of sewage treatment primary
facilities and the facilities to be constructed being necessary
for the protection of the public health, constitutes an emergency
within the meaning of the Plan, and this Ordinance shall be and
become effective immediately upon its adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 13, 1967.
