AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with Karsten
Equipment Co., for construction of Lemay Sewage Treatment Plant,
Ash Slurry Pipelines, for the Mississippi River Subdistrict within
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, with an emergency
clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Karsten Equipment Co., as the lowest
responsible bidder, for the construction of Lemay Sewage Treatment
Plant, Ash Slurry Pipelines, for the Mississippi River Subdistrict
within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 1st day of June, 1967, and formally
executed on the 20th day of June, 1967 by said contractor and by
the Executive Director and the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
the District in the following form:
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for construction of Ash Slurry Pipelines and the
facilities to be constructed being necessary for the protection of
the public health, an emergency exists within the meaning of the
Plan, and accordingly this Ordinance shall be and become effective
immediately upon its adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 22, 1967.
