AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Coldwater Creek
Trunk Subdistrict to include an area of St. Louis County which
could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the
District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict.
WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the
owner of all the land in said area, praying for annexation to both
the District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District and such Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the
existing sewers of the District and Subdistrict are adequate to
handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interests of
sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by
including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from
the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through
public sanitary sewers other than those of the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center-
line of Mullanphy Road (40 feet wide) and the southwestward
extension of the northwestern line of property now or formerly of
A. B. Lambert, Jr. according to the instrument recorded in Book
2283 page 37 of the St. Louis County Records, which point of
intersection is a point on the existing boundary of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence northeastwardly
along such southwestward extension and along such northwestern
line of Lambert which is also a part of the boundary of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District as extended by Ordinance No.
586, adopted June 29, 1961, North 37 degrees 26 minutes East, a
distance of approximately 1030 feet to the southwestern line of
Flamingo Park Plat No. 6, a subdivision of St. Louis County,
Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 96
pages 68 and 69 of the St. Louis County Records; thence
northwestwardly along such southwestern line of Flamingo Park Plat
No. 6, which is also a part of the existing boundary of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to its intersection with
the west line of Bluff Drive (60 feet wide); thence
southwestwardly along a line parallel with the aforesaid
northwestern line of Lambert, and along its southwestwardly
extension, to the aforesaid centerline of Mullanphy Road; thence
southeastwardly along aforesaid centerline to the point of
beginning.
Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation
was signed by the owner of all of the land in said area.
Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and
public health of the District will be promoted by including the
area in its territory.
Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public -2-
sanitary sewers other than those of the District.
Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek
Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above
described area.
Section Six. Certified copies of this ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the
Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 24, 1967.
