AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with S & M
Constructors, Inc. for the construction of Section E of the South
Tunnel Trunk Interceptor Sanitary Sewers from LaSalle Street to
Barton Street in the City of St. Louis, Missouri with an emergency
clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to S & M Constructors, Inc., as the lowest
responsible bidder, for the construction of Section E of the South
Tunnel Trunk Interceptor Sanitary Sewers from LaSalle Street to
Barton Street in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 1st day of November, 1967 and formally
executed on the 1st day of December, 1967 by said contractor and
by the Executive Director and the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
the District, in the following form:
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be
constructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan,
and this ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon
its adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 7, 1967.
