AN ORDINANCE vacating a portion of sewer easement in
the City of St. Louis, Missouri, and authorizing the encroachment
of a building in another portion thereof.
WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis, by Ordinance No. 54776,
approved December 4, 1967, vacated certain portions of the north-
south alley in City Block 182 of the City of St. Louis, Missouri,
bounded by Olive, Seventh, Pine and Eighth Streets, reserving,
however, to this District, easements for sewer purposes over the
area of such alley; and
WHEREAS, the Owner of the subject property has
requested this District to vacate a portion of such former alley
and to authorize the construction of a building over another
portion of such alley, which the District is willing to do,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The following described portion of sewer
easement is hereby vacated, to wit:
The west 7.50 feet of the northern 105 feet of the aforesaid
former north-south alley in City Block 182.
Section Two. The Executive Director is hereby
authorized and directed to license the encroachment of a building
over the west 3.17 feet of the southern 88 feet of the aforesaid
former north-south alley in City Block 182, provided the right of
the District to use the easement strip is preserved, and under
suitable indemnity provisions.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 18, 1968.
