HomeMy Public PortalAbout01719 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1719 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Mississippi River Subdistrict and the Creve Coeur-Frontenac Trunk Subdistrict to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the District and of the Mississippi River Subdistrict and the Creve Coeur-Frontenac Trunk Subdistrict, and clarifying and re-describing a portion of the boundaries as extended by Ordinance No. 1324, adopted April 22, 1965. WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from all of the owners of the land in said area, praying for annexation to both the District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict and the Creve Coeur-Frontenac Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and such Mississippi River Subdistrict and the Creve Coeur-Frontenac Trunk Subdistrict and the existing sewers of the District and Subdistricts are adequate to handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District; and WHEREAS, the boundary of the District, as extended by 2 Ordinance No. 1324, adopted April 22, 1965, should be clarified, and lies adjacent to land to be annexed which can and should be described therewith, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area of St. Louis County, Missouri, including that area as described in aforesaid Ordinance No. 1324, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, being in the south line of Olive Street Road at its intersection with a line 1,398.37 feet west of and parallel with the west line of Emerson Road running southwardly from Olive Street Road; thence southwardly along said parallel line 1,524 feet, more or less, to the south line of Lot 14 of LAKE HOUSE FARM Subdivision, being also the north line of EMERSON TERRACE, FIRST ADDITION, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 51, page 43, St. Louis County Recorder's office; thence westwardly 106 feet, more or less, along the north line of said EMERSON TERRACE, FIRST ADDITION to the northwest corner thereof, being in the west line of Section 3, Township 45 North, Range 5 East; thence northwardly 657.18 feet along said Section line to the northeast corner of NOTTINGHAM PLAT #1, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in 3 Plat Book 117, pages 32 and 33 of aforesaid Recorder's office; thence along the north line of said NOTTINGHAM PLAT #1, North 89 degrees 52 minutes West, approximately 630 feet to the east line of U. S. Survey 1923; thence northwardly along said Survey line, approximately 1,000 feet to the south line of Olive Street Road, 60 feet wide; thence along said south road line to its intersection with the east line of Country Manor Lane, 50 feet wide; thence southwardly along said east line of Lane approximately 190 feet to the southwest corner of property conveyed to Louis M. Gelber by deed recorded in Book 5039, page 57, of aforesaid Recorder's office; thence along the south line of said Gelber property 259.48 feet to the southeast corner thereof in the east line of Section 4, Township 45 North, Range 5 East; thence along said Section line northwardly approximately 180 feet to the south line of Olive Street Road as widened by conveyance to the State of Missouri of property described in deed recorded in Book 5165, page 391, said Recorder's office; thence along the south line of said widened Olive Street Road, South 77 degrees 30 minutes East, 108 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petitions praying for annexation were signed by the sole owners of the land in said area. Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public 4 sanitary sewers other than those of the District. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict and the Creve Coeur-Frontenac Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above described area, redescribing and clarifying the boundaries of the area described in said Ordinance No. 1324. Section Six. Certified copies of this ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. 5 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 13, 1968.
