AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to purchase from the owner thereof certain real property
in St. Louis County, Missouri, to be used as a site for a pump
station for the Watkins Creek Trunk Subdistrict, prescribing
terms, and containing an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and the Secretary-
Treasurer of the District are authorized to purchase from the
owner thereof, the following real property in St. Louis County,
Missouri, to be used as a site for a pump station for the Watkins
Creek Trunk Subdistrict, at a price not to exceed Four Thousand
Dollars and No cents ($4,000.00), said property to be free of all
encumbrances, said property described as follows:
A parcel of land in U. S. Survey 155, Township 47 North, Range 7
East, St. Louis County, Missouri, described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the North line of
Trampe Lane, 30 feet wide, at its intersection with the
West line of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy
Railroad Company right-of-way, 100 feet wide, being
also the Southeast corner of the tract of land conveyed
to Wm. E. Trampe and wife by deed recorded in Book
1467, Page 639, St. Louis County Recorder's office;
thence along the North line of said Trampe Lane, North
83 degrees 00 minutes West, 65.00 feet; thence North 07
degrees 00 minutes East, 100.00 feet; thence South 83
degrees 00 minutes East, 60.63 feet to an intersection
with said West right-of-way line of said railroad;
thence along said railroad right-of-way line, South 04
degrees 30 minutes West, 100.10 feet to the beginning.
Section Two. Upon the execution and delivery to
them by the said owner of a Warranty Deed in proper form, being
free from liens and encumbrances, conveying title to the said land
to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer shall be and are hereby
authorized and directed to pay to said owner, for the said land,
the total sum of Four Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($4,000.00).
Section Three. An emergency exists within the meaning
of the Plan, since the realty is needed for the protection of the
public health and the purchase must be arranged for without delay.
Accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 28, 1968.
